Welcome back to Temple of Her.
Thank you so much for being here today.
I hope you're doing alright wherever you are in the world.
I've been reflecting quite a lot in the last few days on the fact that we're approaching nearly a year living with this virus,
Living in a pandemic.
I know it has been tough on many of us.
It's left many of us feeling heavy.
So just know that I am holding you and you can always reach out directly if you want to just have a chat with someone.
I'm always here.
So,
A few weeks ago I was chatting to a friend reflecting on the episode I wrote on Mudita and vicarious joy.
And she mentioned finding it difficult at times to wish loving kindness towards complete strangers.
It isn't the easiest task for us at all,
So that's what actually inspired me to write the words for this episode.
You might like to sit down and listen to this or perhaps have it on in the background as you go about your day.
It's not a meditation practice as such,
But more a collection of words that I hope will be of value to you and of service to your heart.
This remarkable life that we hold in our hands with beating hearts and expanding lungs,
Intrinsically connected,
The whole world beating as one.
Over time,
We have become more solitary,
Engaging and connecting with one another less and less.
Committing to the state of connection means meeting any parts of our psyche that aren't led by love.
Those parts of us that aren't led by kindness and that aren't met with patience and that aren't honored with compassion.
Somewhere within us all,
There exists a higher self who is eternally at peace.
And that higher self dreams of connecting with others through kindness,
Through patience and through compassion.
Our natural state is to love,
To infinitely love,
To feel fullness of being and to create depth of experience.
Experiences with loved ones and strangers alike.
Creating meaningful experiences led by love.
Because to love needs no persuasion.
It is the surest thing of all.
Of course,
There will be times where you feel discouraged.
Times where you don't feel compassionate.
Or times where patience feels like the hardest task of all.
But do not dwell in this place.
Do not let discouragement manifest itself within you.
For there is no space for it here.
We individually hold a responsibility in mending the parts of the world that are within our reach.
These parts of the world depend on us.
To lead every conversation and interaction with love.
So that we may connect as one again.
To liberate one another and to liberate ourselves.
Allowing our souls to be seen by the rest of the world.
Open and full.
Committing to living harmoniously within ourselves first and in turn with each other.
So before you return to your day dear friend and life floods back into your body.
Let these words fill your being.
It's up to me to love infinitely.
It's up to me to create meaningful connections.
I weave the fabric that makes the story of my life.
And my story is joy.
My story is love.
My story is every encounter.
