Everything human beings have accomplished is to satisfy something deep inside us… something intangible that moves through us… it’s this life’s longing that can be thought of as our purpose. But life’s longing is always moving through us otherwise we would be at a total standstill. Have you noticed how one project or stage in our life finishes and then the desire for something else arises… Today purpose is spoken as if it’s something that needs to be found… but I look at this differently … purpose is something that needs to be expressed in each moment… purpose unfolds in the present moment… There’s a zen saying… Before enlightenment chop wood carry water After enlightenment chop wood carry water. Life is the same either way… you still need to eat, be in relationship with others, pay the bills… And remember… your doing is not your worth - your being is your worth!

Arrange yourself lying down.

You may wish to also do this meditation seated.

Make sure you're comfortable and gently close your eyes and attune to your breath.

We use our energy all day long in outward activities.

Our senses are constantly being bombarded with information,

Noise,

Changes in temperature and very rarely are we fully engaged with what we are doing.

So begin to open your senses to the present moment,

To the room around you and be fully present to everything that is going on,

Your internal state of mind and your external world.

Right now is the only moment we can be fully alive.

The past cannot be repeated and the future is not certain.

Everything that has happened before is memory.

And the future is imagination.

But just this moment,

This breath,

Is all that we need to be aware of.

Allow the breath to be even,

Smooth,

No jerks.

A breath flowing continuously.

No pauses between the inhales and exhales.

The breath flowing down deep into the belly and out into the sides of the ribs.

The breath flowing into the chest and out into the chest and out into the chest and out into the chest and out into the chest and out into the chest and out into the chest and out into the chest and
