Good morning.

Welcome to this beautiful day.

Another day where you get to breathe and experience the joy of being alive.

Another day where you get to experience what it's like to be you.

If you're still in bed,

I invite you to stretch out lying on your back and allowing your arms to open up so your palms comfortably face up.

If you are seated,

Either coming cross-legged or bringing both feet to firmly plant on the earth.

Take a long,

Deep breath.

And as you exhale,

Part the lips and sigh out through the mouth.

Once more,

Breathing in,

Fill the lungs.

And breathing out,

Releasing your body and your breath.

Bring your attention to your sense of hearing and see if you can stretch it out and listen to the sounds outside of your body,

Outside of your room,

Perhaps even outside of the space you're in.

As you listen to the sounds,

Can you observe them as a pitch or a tone?

Can you notice them rather than label them?

And move gently from one sound to another,

To another.

And then drawing your awareness a little closer,

Bringing it into the room,

Noticing the sounds in your space.

The sound of my voice.

The sound of the creaking of the walls.

Maybe the sounds of white noise in the background.

Again,

Noticing pitch or tone.

And then drawing it a little closer,

Can you bring your awareness to the sounds your own body makes as you breathe?

The sound of your breath,

The rustling of your clothes,

The rustling of the duvet or the blanket,

The gurgling of your digestive system as you slowly waken it to up.

And then I ask that you just invite this new day into your world.

A new day that you get to experience so many millions of others don't.

Allowing yourself to take a moment and bring your attention to something in your life that you are truly grateful for.

It could be a loved one,

A parent,

A partner,

A friend,

A child.

And allowing yourself to imagine them in front of you as you fill your heart with gratitude and appreciation that they are here.

That you get to enjoy time with them.

Grateful to have them in your life.

And then expand your sense of gratitude.

Grateful that you get to embrace them,

Talk to them,

Be with them.

And then I'd like you to think of something in the past week that you accomplished or achieved that you feel proud of.

And allow yourself to appreciate and feel grateful that you get to have that experience.

Grateful for your strength of character.

Your abilities.

The opportunities that you've gotten.

And then as you wake on this beautiful day with a roof over your head and food in your kitchen.

Offering gratitude for those basic human needs that we take for granted.

Sanitary wear.

Our bathrooms,

Our baths.

The ability to shower.

To cook.

And then allowing yourself to think of an experience you've had recently that you have felt great joy in.

Perhaps a walk along the beach or in the woods.

The smell of the air.

The crunching of the wood or the stones underneath your feet.

Allow yourself for the experience to feel gratitude.

Appreciation.

As you wake up to this day.

Breathe.

And feel the breath gently move in and out of your body.

As you feel the joy in getting to experience another day.

Another moment.

Another breath.

And as you settle.

Taking a moment to consider what it is you'd like to achieve of today.

The joy of being.

The joy of giving.

The joy of living.

Take a long deep breath in.

And as you exhale just settle your body back into your seat or onto the ground.

Slowly noticing your breathing.

And gently lift the corners of your lips.

As you smile and begin this beautiful new day.

Namaste.

Thank you.
