Welcome to the Christian meditation,

Red.

Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior,

Almighty Physician and Healer and Ruler of the universe,

Came to heal and not destroy His people.

If we believe and call on Him,

He will answer.

We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.

God's promise of non-destruction is symbolized by the colorful rainbow comprised of healing light in red,

Orange,

Yellow,

Green,

Blue,

And violet hues.

God's rainbow of light brings different facets of healing through each of its colors,

Especially the color red.

Red can boost your energy levels,

Increase your stamina,

Stimulate your heart rate and circulation,

Raise your blood pressure,

And give you a shot of adrenaline.

Red gives you strength,

Power,

And boldness,

And brings a fullness and passion to your life.

The Bible says in Isaiah 40,

29-31,

He gives power to those who are tired and worn out.

He offers strength to the weak.

Even youths will become exhausted and young men will give up.

But those who wait on the Lord will find new strength.

They will fly high on wings like eagles.

They will run and not grow weary.

They will walk and not faint.

And in Ephesians 3,

16-19,

I pray that from His glorious,

Unlimited resources,

He will give you mighty inner strength through His Holy Spirit.

And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in Him.

May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love.

And may you have the power to understand as all God's people should,

How wide,

How long,

How high,

And how deep His love really is.

May you experience the love of Christ.

Though it is so great,

You will never fully understand it.

Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Now in preparation to open yourself to receive within you God's healing red light,

Lie or sit with your spine erect and preferably with the back of your head supported in a quiet,

Relaxed place,

Stilling your mind and soul and opening your heart to His will.

With your legs uncrossed,

Arms by your side and palms facing upward,

Close your eyes and begin to breathe deeply through your nose,

Expanding your stomach muscles as you breathe in and slowly contracting your stomach muscles as you exhale.

Much like an infant breathes in and out rhythmically,

Taking long,

Soft,

And smooth breaths,

Visualize that each breath fills you up like a balloon,

Allowing you to feel lighter and lighter and more buoyant.

Continue to breathe slowly and deeply throughout this relaxation period,

Letting your body soften and open,

Tune out all other thoughts,

Feel yourself settle into your body,

Breathing in relaxation and breathing out all tension and mental activity.

Now I will guide you through various muscles in your body,

Asking you to tense and relax those very same muscles,

Keeping your eyes closed during the entire relaxation exercise.

Begin by squeezing your eyes shut and wrinkling your forehead,

Tighter and tighter,

Holding the tension and feeling how uncomfortable the tension is.

Now release the tension in your eyes and forehead and feel the warmth of its smoothness and allowing your eyes to remain gently and softly closed.

Notice the difference between the previous tension and soothing relaxation.

Next,

Clench your jaw,

Holding the tension and noticing the tightness it produces,

Feel the discomfort.

Continue to hold the tension in your jaw,

Hold it,

Hold it.

Now release and drop your jaw and feel the tension turn into relaxation,

A soothing,

Warm sensation spreading throughout your entire face.

Become aware of how wonderful it feels to relax your jaw,

No tension,

Only relaxation,

Deep relaxation.

Now purse your lips tightly,

Squeezing them together,

Tighter and tighter,

Hold the tension,

Continue to hold the tension,

Feeling the tightness of your lips.

Now let go and relax your lips completely.

Notice how your entire face feels more and more relaxed,

Tranquil and smooth,

Remembering how uncomfortable tension is.

As you completely let go of the tension in your face and experience the warm,

Heavy feeling of deep relaxation,

Press your head back as far as it can safely go and experience the tension in your neck.

Slowly roll your neck to the right and notice where the tension is located.

Now slowly roll your neck to the left and notice where the strain is produced.

Next,

Straighten your neck and bring your chin forward,

Touching your chest,

Holding it there and feeling the tension.

Hold it,

Hold it,

Feel the tension in your throat and the back of your neck.

Now return your head to a comfortable position,

Feel the comfort of relaxation and how good it feels to let go of all your tension and allow your relaxation to deepen.

Next,

Shrug your shoulders,

Bring them up towards your ears,

Hold the tension,

Feel the tightness and discomfort increasing.

Now drop your shoulders and let all your tension go,

Feel the soothing effects of relaxation.

It feels as though you have been relieved of a heavy burden.

You can finally let go,

Allowing your muscles to release their tightness and relax.

It feels good to allow yourself to relax.

Now go deeper and deeper into relaxation.

Go with it.

Feel the warmth spreading down your arms,

To your elbows and then to your hands and fingers.

Now clench your fists,

Clench them tighter and tighter,

Hold it,

Hold it.

Notice how that feels in your hands,

Wrists,

Forearms,

Elbows and shoulders.

Feel the tension radiate upward.

Now release your fists and feel the looseness relaxation brings.

Notice the difference between tight tension and loose relaxation.

Next bend your elbows and tense your upper arm muscles as tightly as you can.

Notice the feeling of tightness in these muscles and feel how uncomfortable it is.

Now relax and straighten your arms.

Feel the soothing sensation of relaxation.

Go deeper and deeper into the feeling of relaxation.

Remember how uncomfortable tension is and how wonderful relaxation is.

Imagine what it would be like to be relaxed all day and not tense.

Let the relaxation deepen more and more.

Now take a deep breath and hold it.

Notice the tension in your chest.

Slowly exhale and let all the air out,

Allowing your chest to become very loose and feel its release from tension,

A soothing sensation.

Once more take a deep breath and hold it.

Now slowly exhale and let go of all your tension and mental activity as you breathe out.

Repeat this deep breathing,

Breathing in relaxation and breathing out tension.

Notice the tension that is released as you exhale.

This allows you to become more fully relaxed.

Now tighten your stomach muscles and hold the tension.

Feel how uncomfortable it quickly becomes.

Now relax and allow your stomach muscles to become heavy and loose.

Go deeper and deeper into the soothing sensation of relaxation.

Feel how wonderful it feels to be relaxed.

It's okay to be relaxed.

Now arch your back,

Tensing your lower back but keeping the rest of your body as relaxed as possible.

Notice how the tension feels in your lower back.

Feel and experience it.

While holding the tension in your lower back,

Squeeze your buttocks and flex your thighs by pressing them down on your heels as hard as you can.

Hold this tension and feel the growing discomfort.

Now let it go,

All of it.

Let go of the rigidity and feel your muscles soften.

Allow your lower back,

Thighs to completely relax.

Begin to feel the softness in your spine,

Buttocks and thighs.

Feel the radiating relaxation to your lower legs.

Now curl your toes downward.

This will tense your calves.

Notice how the tension feels in your calves.

Hold it,

Hold it.

Now let go and relax.

Feel the difference between tension and relaxation.

Feel the goodness of relaxation.

It's softness and warmth.

Now bend your toes toward your face.

Feel the tension in your shins.

Hold the tension tighter and tighter.

Experience it.

Now let go and relax.

Feel the relaxing warmth spread from your toes to your feet,

Your ankles,

Your shins,

Your calves,

Your knees,

Thighs and buttocks.

Let the relaxation soften your spine and total skeleton.

With each deep breath,

Draw in more relaxation,

Letting go of all unnecessary tension throughout your body,

Allowing the soothing relaxation to spread throughout your stomach,

Your chest,

Your arms,

Your hands,

Your shoulders,

Your neck,

Your lips,

Your jaw,

Your eyes and forehead,

Your total body is deeply relaxed.

Enjoy the heaviness and soothing sensation of relaxation.

Simply think of letting go more and more and going deeper and deeper into the warm feeling of relaxation.

Feel the goodness of relaxation.

Feel your body quieting down and opening.

Feel yourself settle into your body.

You are deeply relaxed.

Now while keeping your eyes closed,

Using your mind's eye,

Focus your visualizing attention on the upcoming scene itself.

Any attention to the body should be to imagine it calm and relaxed.

Go to that special place where you meet Jesus.

He's waiting just for you.

See him in a lovely garden surrounded by red rose bushes.

Smell the roses intoxicating sweet fragrance and see their bold beauty and their ruby redness.

As you walk closer to Jesus,

You notice that he is breaking off one of the red roses from his bush.

It is an extraordinarily beautiful one.

His stem is long with thorns and his bloom is crimson and full.

When you arrive in front of Jesus,

Jesus silently gives you the chosen red rose.

Jesus gives you this rose as a symbol of his love and of his blood,

Which he poured out for you a long,

Long time ago.

He loved you before you were even born and his blood has the power to wash away all your sins.

You take the red rose from Jesus and feel the sharp thorns of his stem and touch the soft and smooth ruby red petals.

Then you draw the red rose to your nose and slowly inhale its healing fragrant aroma.

You begin to feel its stimulation deep within every part of your body,

From your head to your toes,

Energizing and stimulating every cell.

Then this powerful red rose fragrance centers as a burning red fire in your heart.

This burning red fire that began as a ruby red rose,

A gift from Christ.

Out of his marvelous love for you,

Begins to restore,

Strengthen and vitalize your brokenness.

Your red heart of fire is the center of your spirit,

Where you are one with Christ and where you abide in his everlasting love.

Your hearts are beating together as one,

Fortifying your negative and weakened spirit while rebuilding and strengthening your body,

Even the deepest and most distal parts.

This healing red energy gives you fullness of life and power that only comes from God.

Only Jesus Christ is our source of power and strength.

The ruby red rose is a symbol of Christ's blood and sacrifice that he gave for you out of his abundant love for you.

Call on him to give you strength and energy when you are weak and tired or powerless.

Allow him to light a deep,

Bold red fire within you,

Giving you an everlasting source of power and strength in leading you to a fullness of life.

Amen.

Whenever you wish,

Slowly bring yourself back and open your eyes,

Remaining calm,

Relaxed and in renewed Bukkentu.

You you you
