Welcome to the Christian Meditation Orange.

Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior,

Almighty Physician and Healer and Ruler of the Universe,

Came to heal and not destroy His people.

If we believe and call on Him,

He will answer.

We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.

God's promise of non-destruction is symbolized by the colorful rainbow comprised of healing light in red,

Orange,

Yellow,

Green,

Blue,

And violet hues.

God's rainbow of light brings different facets of healing through each of His colors,

Especially the color orange.

Orange can free and release feelings of joy and alleviate feelings of self-pity,

Lack of self-worth,

And an unwillingness to forgive.

Orange is a wonderful antidepressant and can lift your spirits.

Orange stimulates the sexual organs and strengthens your immune and digestive systems with a releasing action on the body fluids.

Orange stimulates your mind and gives you a renewed interest in life.

The Bible says in Colossians 3,

13,

You must make allowance for each other's faults and forgive the person who offends you.

Remember,

The Lord forgave you,

So you must forgive others.

And in Romans 4,

7-8,

Oh,

What joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven,

Whose sins are put out of sight.

Yes,

What joy for those whose sin is no longer counted against them by the Lord.

And in Revelation 3,

20,

Look,

Here I stand at the door and knock.

If you hear me calling and open the door,

I will come in and we will share a meal as friends.

Now in preparation to open yourself to receive within you God's healing orange light,

Lie or sit with your spine erect and preferably with the back of your head supported in a quiet,

Relaxed place,

Stilling your mind and soul and opening your heart to his will.

With your legs uncrossed,

Arms by your side and palms facing upward,

Close your eyes and begin to breathe deeply through your nose,

Expanding your stomach muscles as you breathe in and slowly contracting your stomach muscles as you exhale,

Much like an infant breathes in and out rhythmically,

Taking long,

Soft and smooth breaths.

Visualize that each breath fills you up like a balloon,

Allowing you to feel lighter and lighter and more buoyant.

Continue to breathe slowly and deeply throughout this relaxation period,

Letting your body soften and open.

Tune out all of the thoughts,

Feel yourself settle into your body,

Breathing in relaxation and breathing out all tension and mental activity.

Now I will guide you through various muscles in your body,

Asking you to tense and relax those very same muscles.

Keeping your eyes closed during the entire relaxation exercise,

Begin by squeezing your eyes shut and wrinkling your forehead,

Tighter and tighter,

Holding the tension and feeling how uncomfortable the tension is.

Now release the tension in your eyes and forehead and feel the warmth of its smoothness and allowing your eyes to remain gently and softly closed.

Notice the difference between the previous tension and soothing relaxation.

Next,

Clench your jaw,

Holding the tension and noticing the tightness it produces.

Feel the discomfort.

Continue to hold the tension in your jaw.

Hold it,

Hold it.

Now release and drop your jaw and feel the tension turn into relaxation,

A soothing,

Warm sensation spreading throughout your entire face.

Become aware of how wonderful it feels to relax your jaw.

No tension,

Only relaxation,

Deep relaxation.

Now purse your lips tightly,

Squeezing them together,

Tighter and tighter.

Hold the tension,

Continue to hold the tension,

Feeling the tightness of your lips.

Now let go and relax your lips completely.

Notice how your entire face feels more and more relaxed,

Tranquil and smooth,

Remembering how uncomfortable tension is.

As you completely let go of the tension in your face and experience the warm,

Heavy feeling of deep relaxation,

Press your head back as far as it can safely go and experience the tension in your neck.

Slowly roll your neck to the right and notice where the tension is located.

Now slowly roll your neck to the left and notice where the strain is produced.

Next,

Straighten your neck and bring your chin forward,

Touching your chest,

Holding it there and feeling the tension.

Hold it,

Hold it.

Feel the tension in your throat and the back of your neck.

Now return your head to a comfortable position.

Feel the comfort of relaxation and how good it feels to let go of all your tension and allow your relaxation to deepen.

Next,

Shrug your shoulders,

Bringing them up towards your ears.

Hold the tension,

Feel the tightness and discomfort increasing.

Now drop your shoulders and let all your tension go.

Feel the soothing effects of relaxation.

It feels as though you have been relieved of a heavy burden.

You can finally let go,

Allowing your muscles to release their tightness and relax.

Feels good to allow yourself to relax.

Now go deeper and deeper into relaxation.

Go with it.

Feel the warmth spreading down your arms to your elbows and then to your hands and fingers.

Now clench your fists,

Clench them tighter and tighter.

Hold it,

Hold it.

Notice how that feels in your hands,

Wrists,

Forearms,

Elbows and shoulders.

Feel the tension radiate upward.

Now release your fists and feel the looseness relaxation brings.

Notice the difference between tight tension and loose relaxation.

Next bend your elbows and tense your upper arm muscles as tightly as you can.

Notice the feeling of tightness in these muscles and feel how uncomfortable it is.

Now relax and straighten your arms.

Feel the soothing sensation of relaxation.

Go deeper and deeper into the feeling of relaxation.

Remember how uncomfortable tension is and how wonderful relaxation is.

Imagine what it would be like to be relaxed all day and not tense.

Let the relaxation deepen more and more.

Now take a deep breath and hold it.

Notice the tension in your chest.

Slowly exhale now and let all the tension out.

Allowing your chest to become very loose and feel its release from tension,

A soothing sensation.

Once more take a deep breath and hold it.

Now slowly exhale and let go of all your tension and mental activity as you breathe out.

Repeat this deep breathing,

Breathing in relaxation and breathing out tension.

Notice the tension that is released as you exhale.

This allows you to become more fully relaxed.

Now tighten your stomach muscles and hold the tension.

Feel how uncomfortable it quickly becomes.

Now relax and allow your stomach muscles to become heavy and loose.

Go deeper and deeper into the soothing sensation of relaxation.

Feel how wonderful it feels to be relaxed.

It's okay to be relaxed.

Now arch your back,

Tensing your lower back but keeping the rest of your body as relaxed as possible.

Notice how the tension feels in your lower back.

Feel and experience it while holding the tension in your lower back.

Squeeze your buttocks and flex your thighs by pressing down on your heels as hard as you can.

Hold this tension and feel the growing discomfort.

Now let go of all rigidity and feel your muscles soften.

Allow your lower back,

Buttocks and thighs to completely relax.

Begin to feel the softness in your spine,

Buttocks and thighs.

Feel the radiating relaxation to your lower legs.

Now curl your toes downward.

This will tense your calves.

Notice how the tension feels in your calves.

Hold it.

Hold it.

Now let it go and relax.

Feel the difference between tension and relaxation.

Feel the goodness of relaxation.

The softness and warmth.

Now bend your toes toward your face.

Feel the tension in your shins.

Hold the tension tighter and tighter.

Experience it.

Now let go and relax.

Feel the relaxing warmth spread from your toes to your feet,

Your ankles,

Your shins,

Your calves,

Your knees,

Thighs and buttocks.

Let the relaxation soften your spine and total skeleton.

With each deep breath draw in more relaxation,

Letting go of all unnecessary tension throughout the body.

Allow the soothing relaxation to spread throughout your stomach,

Your chest,

Your arms,

Your hands,

Your shoulders,

Your neck,

Your lips,

Your jaw,

Your eyes and forehead.

Your total body is deeply relaxed.

Enjoy the heaviness and soothing sensation of relaxation.

Simply think of letting go more and more and going deeper and deeper into the warm feeling of relaxation.

Feel the goodness of relaxation.

Feel your body quieting down and opening.

Feel yourself settle into your body.

You are deeply relaxed.

Now while keeping your eyes closed,

Using your mind's eye,

Focus your visualizing attention on the upcoming scene itself.

The intention to the body should be to imagine it calm and relaxed.

Imagine you are at home and you hear a knock at your door.

You ask,

Who is it?

And a voice responds,

It's me,

Jesus.

Can I come in?

You hesitate and ask yourself,

Is it really Jesus?

This must be a joke.

Why would he want to visit with me?

This can't be really happening.

Whoever heard of such a thing?

I can't let him see me like this.

I haven't had the time to prepare myself.

Jesus asks again,

Can I come in?

You slowly open the door and see Jesus standing on your doorstep with a bag full of oranges.

You gesture Jesus inside to a table where he proceeds to spread out all the oranges.

After the oranges are placed before you,

Both of you sit at the table to dine together.

Your eyes fall to Jesus who holds out an orange to you,

Asking,

Will you sup with me?

Silently,

You accept the orange from Jesus.

You hold the round orange in the palm of one hand and feel its smooth texture with the other.

When you begin to peel the orange,

Gentle sprays of citrus fill the air with their sweet orange fragrance.

As you take the first slice of orange into your mouth,

You taste its refreshing sweetness and feel the healing orange droplets slowly penetrate deep within you.

The revitalizing orange juice begins to refresh every cell in your body as it trickles down the back of your throat.

Through your esophagus to your stomach,

Where it begins to stimulate and strengthen your digestive system as it continues the journey through your intestines.

With each bite of the succulent orange,

You begin to feel more and more joyous,

Uplifted,

And forgiving.

You start to laugh so hard tears come to your eyes.

You are overflowing and giddy with joy and laughter.

Your mind wakes up to a new renewal.

You realize that Christ does love you,

Takes joy in you,

And that all is forgiven.

You are worthy of his time and fellowship.

You are home.

Christ is willing to share his sup with you,

And in turn,

You are joyously willing to share with and forgive others.

When you have eaten the orange,

Christ sends you forth with a newness of life and great joy.

Know that Jesus is always with you and willing to dine with you for all time.

Rejoice.

Amen.

Whenever you wish,

Slowly bring yourself back and open your eyes,

Remaining calm,

Relaxed,

And renewed.

Amen.

Amen.
