Welcome to the Christian Meditation Blue.

Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior,

Almighty Physician and Healer and Ruler of the Universe came to heal and not destroy His people.

If we believe and call on Him,

He will answer.

We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.

God's promise of non-destruction is symbolized by the colorful rainbow comprised of healing light in red,

Orange,

Yellow,

Green,

Blue and violet hues.

God's rainbow of light brings different facets of healing through each of His colors,

Especially the color blue.

Blue has a soothing action and lowers the blood pressure by calming the autonomic nervous system.

This in turn relaxes and cleanses the mind bringing a cool and smooth sense of blue tranquility,

Like the sense you get when you appreciate the spacious blue sea or sky.

Blue gives you a feeling of hopefulness,

Faithfulness and trust and dispels all anxiety and worries.

A deep shade of blue stimulates your pituitary gland which regulates your sleep patterns and aids insomnia.

Indigo,

A dark blue,

Has amazing anesthetic and anti-inflammatory qualities and therefore has wonderful pain healing abilities.

Indigo also works on the skeleton,

Keeping the bone marrow healthy.

The Bible says in Psalm 48,

I will lie down in peace and sleep,

For you alone,

O Lord,

Will keep me safe.

And in Proverbs 3 24,

You can lie down without fear and enjoy your pleasant dreams.

And in Isaiah 43,

2-4,

When you go through deep waters and great trouble,

I will be with you.

And through rivers of difficulty you will not drown.

When you walk through the fire of oppression,

You will not be burned up.

The flames will not consume you,

For I am the Lord your God,

The Holy One of Israel,

Your Savior.

I gave Egypt,

Ethiopia and Seba as a ransom for your freedom.

Others died that you might live.

I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me.

You are honored and I love you.

And in Matthew 6,

25-34,

So I tell you,

Don't worry about everyday life,

Whether you have enough food,

Drink and clothes.

Doesn't life consist of more than food and clothing?

Look at the birds.

They don't need to plant or harvest or put food in barns because your Heavenly Father feeds them.

And you are far more valuable to Him than they are.

Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

Of course not.

And why worry about your clothes?

Look at the lilies and how they grow.

They don't work or make their clothing,

Yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.

And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow,

Won't He more surely care for you?

You have so little faith,

So don't worry about having enough food or drink or clothing.

Why be like the pagans who are so deeply concerned about these things?

Your Heavenly Father already knows all your needs,

And He will give you all you need from day to day if you live for Him and make the kingdom of God your primary concern.

So don't worry about tomorrow,

For tomorrow will bring its own worries.

Today's trouble is enough for today.

And in 1 Peter 5-7,

Give all your worries and cares to God,

For He cares about what happens to you.

Now in preparation to open yourself to receive within you God's healing blue light,

Lie or sit with your spine erect and preferably with the back of your head supported in a quiet,

Relaxed place,

Stilling your mind and soul and opening your heart to His will.

With your legs uncrossed,

Arms by your side and palms facing outward,

Close your eyes and begin to breathe deeply through your nose,

Expanding your stomach muscles as you breathe in and slowly contracting your stomach muscles as you exhale.

Much like an infant breathes in and out rhythmically,

Taking long,

Soft and smooth breaths,

Visualize that each breath fills you up like a balloon,

Allowing you to feel lighter and lighter and more buoyant.

Continue to breathe slowly and deeply throughout this relaxation period,

Letting your body soften and open,

Tune out all other thoughts,

Feel yourself settle into your body,

Breathing in relaxation and breathing out all tension and mental activity.

Now I will guide you through various muscles in your body,

Asking you to tense and relax those very same muscles,

Keeping your eyes closed during the entire relaxation exercise,

Begin by squeezing your eyes shut and wrinkling your forehead,

Tighter and tighter,

Holding the tension and feeling how uncomfortable the tension is.

Now release the tension in your eyes and forehead and feel the warmth of its smoothness and allowing your eyes to remain gently and softly closed.

Notice the difference between the nervous tension and soothing relaxation.

Next,

Clench your jaw,

Holding the tension and noticing the tightness it produces.

Feel the discomfort.

Continue to hold the tension in your jaw.

Hold it,

Hold it.

Now release and drop your jaw and feel the tension turn into relaxation,

A soothing warm sensation spreading throughout your entire face.

Become aware how wonderful it feels to relax your jaw,

No tension,

Only relaxation,

Deep relaxation.

Now purse your lips,

Tightly squeezing them together,

Tighter and tighter,

Hold the tension,

Continue to hold the tension,

Feeling the tightness of your lips.

Now let go and relax your lips completely.

Notice how your entire face feels more and more relaxed,

Tranquil and smooth,

Remembering how uncomfortable tension is.

As you completely let go of the tension in your face and experience the warm,

Heavy feeling of deep relaxation,

Press your head back as far as it can safely go and experience the tension in your neck.

Slowly roll your neck to the right and notice where the tension is located.

Now slowly roll your neck to the left and notice where the strain is produced.

Next straighten your neck and bring your chin forward,

Touching your chest,

Holding it there and feeling the tension.

Hold it,

Hold it.

Feel the tension in your throat and the back of your neck.

Now return your head to a comfortable position.

Feel the comfort of relaxation and how good it feels to let go of all your tension and allow your relaxation to deepen.

Shrug your shoulders,

Bringing them up towards your ears.

Hold the tension,

Feel the tightness and discomfort increasing.

Now drop your shoulders and let all your tension go.

Feel the soothing effects of relaxation.

It feels as though you have been relieved of a heavy burden.

You can finally let go,

Allowing your muscles to release their tightness and relax.

It feels good to allow yourself to relax.

Now go deeper and deeper into relaxation.

Go with it.

Feel the warmth spreading down your arms to your elbows and then to your hands and fingers.

Now clench your fists.

Clench them tighter and tighter.

Hold it,

Hold it.

Notice how that feels in your hands,

Wrists,

Forearms,

Elbows and shoulders.

Feel the tension radiate upward.

Now release your fists and feel the looseness relaxation brings.

Notice the difference between tight tension and loose relaxation.

Next bend your elbows and tense your upper arm muscles as tightly as you can.

Notice the feeling of tightness in these muscles and feel how uncomfortable it is.

Now relax and straighten your arms.

Feel the soothing sensation of relaxation.

Go deeper and deeper into the feeling of relaxation.

Remember how uncomfortable tension is and how wonderful relaxation is.

Imagine what it would be like to be relaxed all day and not tense.

Let the relaxation deepen more and more.

Now take a deep breath and hold it.

Notice the tension in your chest.

Slowly exhale down.

Let all the air out.

Allowing your chest to become very loose and feel its release from tension,

A soothing sensation.

Once more,

Take a deep breath and hold it.

Now slowly exhale and let go of all your tension and mental activity as you breathe out.

Repeat this deep breathing,

Breathing in relaxation and breathing out tension.

Notice the tension that is released as you exhale.

This allows you to become more fully relaxed.

Now tighten your stomach muscles and hold the tension.

Feel how uncomfortable it quickly becomes.

Now relax and allow your stomach muscles to become heavy and loose.

Go deeper and deeper into the soothing sensation of relaxation.

Feel how wonderful it feels to be relaxed.

It's okay to be relaxed.

Now arch your back,

Tensing your lower back but keeping the rest of your body as relaxed as possible.

Notice how the tension feels in your lower back.

Feel and experience it.

While holding the tension in your lower back,

Squeeze your buttocks and flex your thighs by pressing down on your heels as hard as you can.

Hold this tension and feel the growing discomfort.

Now let go of all rigidity and feel your muscles soften.

Allow your lower back,

Buttocks and thighs to completely relax.

Begin to feel the softness of your spine,

Buttocks and thighs.

Feel the radiating relaxation to your lower legs.

Now curl your toes downward.

This will tense your calves.

Notice how the tension feels in your calves.

Hold it.

Hold it.

Now let go and relax.

Feel the difference between tension and relaxation.

Feel the goodness of relaxation.

It's softness and warmth.

Now bend your toes toward your face.

Feel the tension in your shins.

Hold the tension tighter and tighter.

Experience it.

Now let go and relax.

Feel the relaxing warmth spread from your toes to your feet,

Your ankles,

Your shins,

Your calves,

Your knees,

Thighs and buttocks.

Let the relaxation soften your spine and total skeleton.

With each deep breath,

Draw in more relaxation,

Letting go of all unnecessary tension throughout your body.

Allow the soothing relaxation to spread throughout your stomach,

Your chest,

Your arms,

Your hands,

Your shoulders,

Your neck,

Your lips,

Your jaw,

Your eyes and forehead.

Your total body is deeply relaxed.

Enjoy the heaviness and soothing sensation of relaxation.

We think of letting go more and more and going deeper and deeper into the warm feeling of relaxation.

Feel the goodness of relaxation.

Feel your body quieting down and opening up.

Feel yourself settle into your body.

You are deeply relaxed.

Now while keeping your eyes closed,

Using your mind's eye,

Focus your visualizing attention on the upcoming scene itself.

The intention to the body should be to imagine it calm and relaxed.

See yourself standing by an expansive,

Limitless blue body of water,

A lake,

A sea or an ocean,

So vast that you cannot see past its horizon.

You notice further down the shoreline,

A figure in the distance,

Motioning you to approach as he wades deeper and deeper into the calm,

Cool,

Blue water.

As you cautiously draw nearer,

You see that the person is Jesus.

He is welcoming you into the tranquil,

Cleansing and soothing blue water.

As you follow Jesus into the crystal blue water at knee deep,

You begin to feel the blue water's cool,

Smooth and soothing touch.

However,

Stepping deeper and deeper into the relaxing blue water brings a feeling of anxiety.

Your body begins to tense and your mind becomes uneasy.

Your fears begin to surface the deeper you go into the mysterious depths of the midnight blue water.

You look to Jesus who expresses reassurance and acceptance,

So you continue to follow him as the cool blue water deepens.

With a feeling of faith and trust in Jesus,

You continue to submerge yourself into the blue water.

When the deep blue water reaches your chest,

The water's deeper indigo hues begin their healing effects,

Relieving your mental and physical pains.

You feel the indigo blue water's coolness envelop your body as an extreme state of painless relaxation buoys your spirit.

You become so relaxed that your body begins to float on the calm,

Smooth,

Spacious surface of the deep blue water.

As you are floating on the deep blue water,

Your mind is tranquil and you feel somewhat sleepy.

The cleansing blue water has a somnolent effect and is gently cleansing away all your impurities,

Mental,

Physical,

Emotional and spiritual.

You are calmed,

Trusting and faithful as Jesus instills in you his healing blue water.

Jesus is the living water and he says,

Don't be troubled.

You trust God,

Now trust in me.

Amen.

Whenever you wish,

Slowly bring yourself back and open your eyes,

Remaining calm,

Relaxed and renewed.

This is the you you you
