Please invoke that which you trust,

Opening to and receiving the blessing that is always available,

Your own true nature,

The Buddha,

The Christ,

The Mother.

So that you can begin to trust that whatever arises in your mind and in your body is exactly what needs to be happening in this moment.

Nothing to run away from,

No need to analyze,

Allowing thoughts,

Sensations,

Emotions,

Sounds,

Images,

Arise and pass away,

Being clearly with each experience,

But without the need to squeeze or appropriate.

Bringing the sense of trust also into your body.

First,

Exploring the process of becoming grounded.

As you breathe in,

Let your breath drop down to the base of your body and out through the base of your torso,

Into the earth,

Into the earth that grounds and supports and nourishes,

Not the earth of rocks and mud,

But the earth of support.

The earth that allows us to trust being dependent,

That we are nourished,

That we will be receiving,

That which we need on our path to realizing our wholeness.

Breathing in,

Pushing down through the base of the torso into the earth,

Easy natural out-breath.

Receiving this grounding,

Supportive,

Nourishing energy that is boundless.

And then in a similar way,

Becoming centered in the belly center,

Down a few inches below your navel and a few inches inside the front of your body.

As you breathe in,

Dropping down into the belly,

Strong full out-breath,

Becoming centered so that all activity,

All thought,

Energy,

Movement,

Emotion,

Continues to arise and pass away and you can rest at this still point at the center of all activity.

Grounded,

Centered,

Whatever arises that might seem a distraction is simply part of the healing process.

No need to see it as a problem.

Still grounded,

Connected to the earth,

Inhabiting your body in a centered way so that you can pay attention to experience from your belly rather than paying attention to it.

And whenever there is resistance,

Meet this resistance with mercy,

With kindness,

Coming back to being present without any need for judgment or struggle.

This centering energy,

This grounding energy,

Both boundless,

The foundation for being present in your life,

An autonomous being in harmony with the impulses that move you toward wholeness,

Toward realizing this wholeness in a moment-to-moment way.

Thank you.
