Welcome to this moment,

This place of honoring grief.

If you find that emotion is already washing over you,

See if you can focus on the sound of my voice and breathe deeply with me.

Deep breath in and exhale on a sigh.

See if you can let your breath breathe you,

Letting go of any need to control or force.

Deep breath in and exhale,

Releasing the breath completely.

And if you can,

See if you can allow your body to support you breathing deeply by straightening your back,

Relaxing your shoulders.

See if you can allow them to drop just a little bit.

And allow your chest to really expand and take in the gift of each deep breath.

And as you sit breathing,

Allowing this moment to honor grief,

Know that I am with you,

That I am here in that space with you,

Breathing into a place of honoring grief.

Deep easy breath.

That is all that is required of you in this moment.

Simply to take one deep,

Gentle breath.

Nothing more.

You and me here simply breathing.

In and out.

Breathing.

Simply allowing.

In and out.

Trusting each breath to just soothe,

To calm,

To ground you deeply so that you may remember that you are safe.

And in this moment you are surrounded by love and compassion.

In this moment I am holding space and light to be with you in this place where you can honor grief in a safe and loving space.

Breathe.

It's okay.

Just breathe.

I am holding love and light for you as you allow yourself this moment to be with what is,

To honor the depth of sorrow and loss.

And may you know in this moment you are not alone.

In this moment may you know truly and deeply the truth of how safe you are,

How loved you are.

And that by taking this moment to honor grief,

To simply sit with it without trying to change it or erase it,

That truly deep healing has begun.

Breathe.

That is all that is required of you.

Simply to breathe.

And can you allow yourself to simply acknowledge that grief is here,

That it is with you?

And you know in this moment that grief is part of life and that the ache of it is a reflection of what matters deeply to you.

That the grief of loss shines light on what has meaning to us and offers us an opportunity for allowing this natural process of life to be what it is in this moment.

That you can feel it,

Acknowledge it,

Be aware of it,

Be with it in this moment,

Knowing that you are safe and that you are loved and you are not alone.

Breathe.

Breathing into whatever emotion arises,

You are safe.

You are safe.

Breathe into whatever arises.

Sitting with it without judgment.

See if you can just allow.

Together,

Breathing deeply.

Bring your awareness to completely filling your lungs with air.

Deep deep breath and exhaling completely.

Allow that breath to breathe you,

To soothe and to release.

Feel your body letting go with every exhale.

Breathe deeply with compassion for yourself.

Allow each breath to be self-love.

And if in this moment that feels too difficult,

I understand and it's okay.

So then as you breathe,

Imagine that a light rain begins to fall,

Soft and cool.

This light rain washing over you,

Soothing and cleansing.

And imagine that you can smell the sweet scent of the rain with every breath.

This light rain falling softly,

Cool against your skin.

Imagine that soft summer rain sparkling on your skin as the sun slides out from behind the clouds and warms your face.

Feel the sunlight warm on your shoulders,

Easing any tension there.

Allow yourself to feel supported in creating space for healing and peace.

One deep breath at a time.

You are not alone.

And whatever you feel in this moment is okay.

Living life,

Honoring grief,

Being with what is,

Creating space for healing and peace.

One breath at a time.

You are here.

I am here.

Love is here.

And yes,

Grief is here.

And you are safe.

You are loved.

Breathing deeply.

One breath at a time.

Fully present.

Allowing and honoring,

Even if it's waves and waves of grief and sorrow,

Yes,

It's okay.

Allow.

Be with what is in this moment.

For you have created space for healing and peace.

In this moment,

You are here.

I am here.

Love is here.

Life is here.

You are loved.

You are here.

In this moment,

I am here.

Love is here.

Life is here.

Yes,

Grief is here.

And now,

So too,

Is peace.

This is here.

Really helpful. I had a break through: FELT for the first time that I didn't have to justify my existence somehow. That I matter regardless of my "contributions"! Also felt enormous space- acceptance- for my grief, which, honestly, is often not welcome in mixed company! I thank you, Madame Healer โค๏ธ

Thank you for this beautiful meditation. Your words allowed me to breathe and not to be suffocated with my grief. I found that I could breathe and be with the grief allowing it to sit with me instead of it tormenting me. Peace entered my being through the deep breathing. So thank you kind soul for holding a space for me. Mahalo ๐ŸŒบ

My Dad is dying right now ~ I searched for a meditation about allowing grief. I'm so grateful to have found this particular one. The cadence of your voice and the words acknowledging all the feelings helped me to stay calm and to just listen to the meditation.. and become peaceful. Thank you so so much for this meditation. ๐Ÿ™

My dog and best friend passed yesterday. This helped me find my center and become present. The grief is uncomfortable, but I am sitting with it trying to learn more about this emotion.

Wanted a โ€˜prayer-likeโ€™ meditation to send comfort to and hold a grieving friend. This guided meditation gave me the space and words.

I was able to feel my grief. I've been "saddled" with caretaking my brother; he hasn't worked in 16 years and lived dependent on my parents. Stress is mostly what I feel in this situation. Dad's birthday was 2 days ago and I had a physical reaction the next day. This helped relieve some of everything.
