Take a moment to get comfortable wherever you are.
I invite you to sit for this practice using whatever support is helpful.
Bring your hands to your legs with your palms face up.
This is a position of giving and receiving.
Close your eyes and let your body start to relax.
Recognize that you chose to take this time for yourself.
Whether it's the beginning,
Middle,
Or end of your day.
I appreciate having this time to step away from your busy day and care for yourself.
Prepare to gather your attention at the area around your heart in the center of your chest.
As you breathe in,
Feel this area expand and swell.
Every inhalation opens your heart and every exhalation helps you soften.
With your heart open,
Invite your mind to recognize three things that you are grateful for.
These things can be big or small,
Simple or complex.
Perhaps you feel gratitude for your health.
Maybe you feel grateful for your loved ones.
Perhaps you're grateful for nature's harvest and how food is provided for you to nourish your body.
Maybe you feel grateful to have a warm shelter available.
Or you might appreciate the conveniences that make your life comfortable.
Hold the things you identify in your heart as you continue to breathe into this feeling of gratitude.
There are two parts to gratitude.
Recognizing what we are grateful for and recognizing the gifts that we offer to the world.
Receiving goodness and sharing our goodness with those around us.
So just as we identify what we are grateful to receive and experience in our lives,
We also want to acknowledge what we offer to others.
Invite your mind to identify three things that you share with the world.
Things that you do or give to another person or thing.
Maybe particular skills or talents that you have.
The connections you make with others.
The love you give.
And how you contribute.
This nerve-wracking experience TT Rest with this feeling of gratitude,
Recognizing the ever-present exchange of offering and receiving goodness.
And your gratitude for this body,
For this mind,
For this breath,
For being alive and alive.
When you feel ready,
You can start to move your body slowly and open your eyes.
Remember these sensations of gratitude as you continue with your day.
