Welcome to your session today.
My name is Shannon Moyer and I am welcoming you to this beautiful session all for grounding your energy down.
This session is an excellent one to do standing or sitting attentive and upright,
Whether it's on a yoga block,
A meditation cushion,
Or in a rigid chair.
Your attention for this session is what's required,
As much as you can muster.
Your breath is also something that will be keeping you anchored as we bring the energy down through our body,
Creating roots into the earth.
When you feel ready,
When you feel beautifully supported and held with compassion,
Breathing out all of your day,
Anything that happened before now does not demand your attention here in this moment.
Closing the windows of your eyes,
Allowing yourself to feel supported by the ground beneath your feet,
And anchoring into your breath.
We're going to begin by breathing up into the crown,
Into the top of the head,
Acknowledging what energy is here.
Does it feel static or is it moving with a fast pace?
Is your mind racing?
Whatever is up there in your crown,
Breathing into that space and then pushing that energy down through your body into the ground,
Imagining it flowing through you like an electric current,
A current of light.
Whatever color you choose as a co-creator in this experience,
That energy moves with your breath through your body and exits through the soles of your feet into the earth.
On your next inhalation,
Drawing your attention to the space of your brow,
Your forehead,
That third eye,
The all-knowing.
Is it quiet or is it loud here in this space?
As you sit with it and acknowledge its existence within you,
I invite you to pull all of that energy together and on your next inhalation and exhalation,
Sending it with that current of light all the way through your body,
Down through the soles of your feet into the ground,
Bringing your attention to your throat.
What energy is here?
What words are here that want to be let go?
Anything that wasn't said but is being held on to.
What's here?
Gathering it all up,
Acknowledging its existence,
And breathing it down through that current of light,
That current of energy,
Through your body,
Through your feet,
And then drawing your attention to the space of your heart.
There might be heaviness.
The energy may change here in this space depending on what you are going through in your own individual lived experience.
What energy is here?
Gently and with nurturing love and compassion,
Gathering it up,
Sending it down through that current of light,
Through your body,
Through your feet,
Into the ground,
And now drawing your attention into the space of your belly,
Your beautiful power center there in the core of your being.
What energy is here?
Is it loud?
Is it quiet?
How does it bring itself forward for you to make itself be known?
Acknowledging it and then taking it,
Breathing it down through the body,
Through the feet,
Into the ground,
Coming next into your lower abdomen.
What energy is here?
What wants to make itself be known to you as you breathe into this space,
Being really kind and compassionate to yourself,
Gathering it up,
Breathing it down through your body,
Through that current of light,
Through your feet,
Into the ground,
And now at your root,
The very base of who you are,
A space of safety and survival and security and home.
What energy is here?
Gather it up,
Hold it for a moment,
And then send it down that current of light through your body,
Through your feet,
Into the ground,
Taking a moment to check in with yourself,
Acknowledging how different it feels to ground your energy down.
Do you feel safe?
Do you feel anchored and supported?
Do you feel heavy and weighted?
Perhaps everything is moving in slow motion,
Everything's gotten quiet and grown dark.
You've planted roots,
Energetic roots,
Sent from your body down into the earth,
Taking a few more cycles of breath here,
Letting yourself be heavy,
Letting yourself be quiet.
There's no need to open the windows of your eyes today if you do not wish to.
If you wish to stay in this state for a little while longer,
That's okay.
Trust yourself and your own process of grounding down.
If you feel called to open the windows of your eyes,
You're welcome to do that as well.
Coming back into the present,
Slowly and gently,
Hands over heart and bowing your chin,
Sealing in your practice today,
Knowing that at any time when your energy feels like it's a little fragmented,
You feel dysregulated,
You can come back here and breathe through these beautiful centers in your body,
Through your body,
Through your feet,
Down into the earth.
