Welcome to your session today.

As you arrive here in this space,

Please know that you are a co-creator here.

Listen to your body.

Tune in to your breath.

Get comfortable in a seat that allows you to be present and aware,

But also comfortable and soft.

Today's session is all about being gentle.

A request for gentleness and ease to enter into our lives,

To play a dominant role as we go forward throughout our lives.

I invite you to close the windows of your eyes,

To place a hand over your heart.

Your other hand can rest gently on your lap,

Or you can place it on your belly,

Whatever feels natural and supportive for you.

I invite you to take a big breath in and out,

And consider the notion of being gentle.

What does that mean for you?

What would that look like for you?

The request of being gentle,

Of inviting ease and rest.

We spend so much time in hustle culture,

In going hard,

In driving fast,

In pursuing dreams.

So much time and emphasis is put on accomplishing achievement.

What would happen if the same amount of energy was put on being gentle?

Just be gentle.

Please be gentle.

Be gentle with my soul.

Be gentle with my soul,

For it has been broken.

It has felt a grief so great that the breath has left my body and touched the core of this earth and stayed there.

That breath born from a soul so broken that it simply could not return.

Be gentle with my soul,

For a large piece of it is missing.

It has been forever changed,

In that one instant where breath left my body,

Never to return.

My breath lingers there at the core of the earth,

Searching,

Seeking,

Waiting.

Be gentle with my soul.

It is me and yet not.

It is learning how to be whole while waiting for my breath to return.

Be gentle.

Be gentle.

My soul aches.

No matter how this last bit of time has gone for you,

Be it a month or a year,

Several years intertwined into one,

Maybe it was hard.

Maybe your breath left your body and it lingers there at the core of the earth.

And while you maybe have learned a lot,

Unraveled expectations,

Taken off masks of who you were in the past,

It's okay to request some gentleness.

It's okay to want the ease and the gentleness for you to step forward and find your voice,

To put yourself at the center of your story,

To know where you want to stand,

And to make yourself a priority now,

Within that gentleness.

Be gentle with my soul.

Sometimes it's a request outward,

And sometimes it's a reminder.

To expect it from other people,

We have to first give it to ourselves.

So as you sit and you breathe today,

As you request that gentleness and ease from those around you,

My ask of you is to be gentle with your own soul,

To invite your breath back from the core of the earth,

To unravel and unmask,

Knowing that you will find beautiful support when you do.

The request and reminder is to be gentle.

Take a few more breaths here in and out,

Gently and with purpose and intention,

And when it feels right to you,

Allowing the windows of your eyes to come back open,

Ending your session today with gentleness and ease.
