Are you ready?
To meditate.
With Kari.
Climb up into your bed and get super,
Super comfortable.
Make sure that everything is just right in your room.
The lights are just right.
You're wearing your cozy,
Comfy pajamas.
And all is well in the world.
So you can relax your body.
And let go of your busy,
Busy day.
It was that time of year where it was almost autumn.
Everything pumpkin.
And Coriander was so happy.
It was her favorite time of year.
Halloween was coming up soon.
That was the bestest,
Bestest season.
But in the meantime,
She wanted to make.
A very special spell for herself.
Something to get her in the mood.
For Halloween.
Something to get her in the mood for.
Autumn.
Fair.
Cool days.
All the bright yellow and orange and red.
Leaves in the trees all the crunchy leaves on the ground that she liked to squish when she walked.
Competing with herself to find the most crunchiest of all.
The louder the crunch,
The better the leaf.
She couldn't wait.
But she needed some help.
She needed a boost.
A boost that would just make her completely and utterly in autumn mode.
You know,
Pumpkin spice will do it.
She thought to herself.
A pumpkin spice latte.
With a special Magical.
Ingredient.
And that special magical ingredient.
Will wake up all my witchy-poo energy.
And allow me to be happy every single day of autumn.
Especially.
When it comes to the holiday.
She couldn't wait for Halloween.
Oh she could not wait for Halloween.
She was so excited.
What was she gonna wear this year?
Because she didn't always dress up like a witch,
You know?
When you dress up like a witch all the time because you're a witch.
.
.
Then it would be very boring to just dress your normal way on Halloween.
She was thinking about dressing up like T-Rex.
Somehow making our arms all tiny.
She kept practicing waving her little hands in front of her body like she was T-Rex and she thought it was absolutely hilarious.
That's sidetracking.
Get back on track.
Get back to focusing.
Coriander.
She said to herself.
She went into her tiny little kitchen.
And looked at the wall with all the potions and tinctures and herbs and spices.
There was dried flowers.
There was even dirt.
Dirt in a jar because you never know when you need some dirt in a recipe.
So many things.
She even had a jar with dog fur in it.
She collected it from her friend's dog off the carpet.
It was quite easy,
Actually.
That dog shed a lot of hair.
She had dog hair,
Cat hair,
She had cat toenails.
She had so many different weird things,
But right now she was looking for pumpkin spiced.
Powder.
Pumpkin spice powder.
She was running her fingers along the jaws on the shelf on the wall,
And then she found it.
She read the ingredients.
Pumpkin spice powder has cinnamon,
Clove,
Nutmeg,
Ginger,
Black pepper,
Ooh!
I think I'll need it a little bit more black peppery than that.
Or will that ruin it?
Mmm.
She never knew that there was black pepper in pumpkin spice.
Mm-hmm.
No,
That'll be fine.
She just grabbed a hold of the pumpkin spice and then she thought,
You know,
I do like things just a little bit more cinnamony.
I'm going to grab the cinnamon.
Ooh,
And I need.
Monk fruit.
Ooh,
Mind you,
We could use maple syrup.
That would be really good.
She grabbed the maple syrup.
So she had.
Pumpkin spiced.
Powder.
Maple syrup.
And cinnamon.
She put them on the table where she normally creates holo spells.
She grabbed hold of a pumpkin shape.
Glass that she had that was her favorite.
It wasn't a mug.
It was a glass and it was all bellowed out like a pumpkin.
And the work on the glass was all intricate.
And it had tiny little bumps on it that felt nice when you held it.
That was very important.
She needed it to feel good,
As well as look good,
As well as taste good.
So she got basically her favorite glass.
She grabbed a hold of the milk out of the fridge.
She was gonna have an iced pumpkin latte.
Of course she wasn't going to do the coffee because coffee wasn't good for her.
Too much caffeine.
Made her way too crazy.
She turned into a crazy witch when she had caffeine.
And we don't need that.
And also it gave her a headache.
Who wants a headache,
She thought.
I'd have to make another creation or drink one of my tinctures to get rid of the headache.
And I don't want to do that.
I just want to enjoy autumn.
She poured the milk.
Halfway up.
In her glass.
She got out cream.
She thought about using half and half,
But then she thought,
Maybe I should just use whipping cream.
And that's very,
Very thick and it will whip very easily.
So she grabbed a hold of the whipping cream,
But half and a half would have done it.
You put.
A sprinkle of cinnamon.
Two or three big sprinkles of pumpkin pie.
And then she pawed.
Maple syrup.
For about two seconds.
She didn't like to measure things.
She liked to feel things.
To be intuitive with her recipes.
It was more fun that way.
She could always add a little bit more,
But she could never take it away.
So it's always best to start with less and then add more.
She learned that as a baby.
Making potions and tinctures when she was tiny.
She would always add too much ingredients and then have to start all over again.
She got her little frothy machine.
And she mixed those ingredients into her milk.
She thought about using oat milk because she did like oat milk and it was thick and creamy.
She liked that.
Especially the one that you can buy that's thick and creamy.
She went with regular milk.
She blended it till all of the powders and the maple syrup was mixed in and the milk changed into a lovely.
.
.
Kind of soft.
Caramel-y color.
She poured some of the cream into a bowl.
A glass.
A separate glass.
And she added.
Vanilla.
She added vanilla.
She poured it into the cream.
Just a small amount.
And then she added more maple syrup into the cream.
Not too much.
But just so the cream would be deliciously sweet.
And then she frothed it.
Until it had peaks.
It would be perfect on top of a latte.
First of all.
She needed to add the ice.
She added a big handful of ice,
Which took the drink mostly up to the top of the glass.
And then she poured her cream on top.
She grabbed one of the glass straws that she liked.
And she placed it in front of her on the table.
Admiring her work.
Her first pumpkin spiced latte of the season.
This was gonna be good.
She needed to do some kind of sealing spell on it,
Some kind of witchy-poo magic that would make it extra special.
It was already gonna be delicious with the.
.
.
Secret ingredients.
Because she was a witch after all.
She placed her hand on the top of the glass and closed her eyes and steadied her breath.
She started to feel the energy tingle in her fingers.
Take a moment.
It took a moment to just be still.
So still.
So quiet.
She focused on the fingers.
The first one.
A second one.
Her ring finger.
She felt the tingles in her pinky finger.
And then finally She put all of her attention on her thumb.
She thought about.
The stars.
And the night sky.
And then in her mind,
She imagined.
That she plucked one of the stars from the sky.
In between.
A thumb.
It was tingling.
And her first finger.
And then she placed the star.
In her mind.
In her pumpkin spice latte.
She quickly opened her eyes and stirred the latte with her straw.
It was clunking a lot because it was glass on glass.
Perfect.
Done.
She didn't say out loud,
What.
She wished on with the star.
And what the star was going to do to her drink.
But just a side note,
If you do decide to try and make this recipe,
If you do decide to create.
This spell.
Make sure that you think of something that you want.
Of something that you desire.
Something that would make you very,
Very happy.
And place it on the star and put it in your drink because when you drink it,
You're going to consume that which you desire.
You're going to make it manifest into the world.
Just like coriander is going to.
But she's not going to tell you what she wished on.
She's going to enjoy.
A pumpkin spice drink.
She lifted it up and sucked it up the straw.
And it was like heaven in a glass.
She got all the ingredients just right.
Just enough cinnamon,
Just enough pumpkin spice powder,
Just enough maple syrup.
Not too sweet,
Not too not sweet.
She was a little bit worried for a second that she might not be able to carry on doing this through the season.
What if she made one that wasn't as good as this?
She'd be bummed.
She quickly let go of that worry.
It was a worry that wasn't even happening yet and she was worrying over it,
Which was ridiculous.
Witchers don't do that.
She carried her iced pumpkin latte.
Over to her favorite comfy cozy chair.
She kicked off her slippers.
Grabbed a hold of the book on the table.
Put the pumpkin spice latte on the table next to her chair and started to read.
The fireplace was crackling in the background.
She had pumpkin spice candles in her home.
She had pumpkin decorations all over her little cottage.
It was warm and cozy and she had her favorite soft caramel colored blanket.
It was furry.
And so soft it felt like you were petting a kitty cat.
On her lap.
This was Heaven.
This was all she needed.
To be ready.
To get ready.
For Halloween.
The end.
