On days where my mind is scattered, and my brain is a little fried, I know that meditation is the best thing for me. Yet, it can be so hard to get my butt on the ground and block out the world. On those days, a short guided meditation track is perfect. When someone else walks you through the process, it’s so much easier to set aside your stresses and surrender to the moment. Doing this simple act of self-care will make a huge difference in your life.

Welcome to the breathing meditation to use for difficult times.

Today I'm going to share a very useful breathing exercise with you which will help you get through difficult and challenging times.

The first and most important thing is to learn how to breathe properly.

When we are breathing correctly we'll be able to face any challenge that comes our way.

We'll be able to deal with anything.

This breathing exercise that I introduce to you today can be used anytime.

You can use it during a business meeting,

You can use it while paying the bills,

You can use it while you're in the grocers,

When you're on the phone etc.

So I'm going to guide you through this breathing technique and we're going to do 10 rounds of this together.

So just find a comfortable seat,

Uncross your knees if you have your legs crossed so that your both feet are grounded and connected to the earth.

Closing your eyes and just allow yourself to relax.

Keeping the spine nice and tall,

The chest and the heart lifted.

Let's begin the breathing technique now together.

I want you to inhale through the nose and exhale out through the nostrils.

Now I want you to inhale through the mouth and exhale out through the mouth.

Next I want you to inhale through the nostrils and exhale out through the mouth this time.

Inhaling through the mouth and exhaling through the nostrils.

So that completes one round.

We're going to do 9 more rounds of this together and I'll be guiding you through it.

So let's inhale through the nostrils.

Exhaling out through the nostrils.

Take an inhale now through the mouth and take an exhale out through the mouth.

Inhale through the nostrils.

Take an exhale out through the mouth.

Inhaling through the mouth and exhaling out through the nostrils.

So moving on to number 8 now.

Inhaling through the nostrils.

Exhaling through the nostrils.

Inhaling through the mouth.

Exhaling through the mouth.

Inhaling through the nostrils.

Inhaling through the mouth.

Inhale through the mouth and exhale through the nostrils.

Moving on to round 7 now.

Inhaling through the nostrils.

Take an exhale out through the nostrils.

Inhale through the mouth.

Exhale through the mouth and inhale through the nostrils again.

Exhale through the mouth.

Inhale through the mouth.

Exhale through the nostrils.

Six,

Again,

Let's begin.

Inhale through the nostrils.

Exhale through the nostrils.

Inhale through the might.

Exhale through the might.

Take an inhale through the nostrils.

Take an exhale 8 through the might.

Inhale through the might.

And exhale 8 through the nostrils.

Moving on to round 5 now.

Inhaling through the nostrils.

Exhale through the nostrils.

Inhale through the might.

Exhale through the might.

Inhale through the nostrils.

Exhale through the might.

Inhaling through the might.

Exhaling through the nostrils.

So we're halfway there.

I want you to continue now on your own.

Inhaling through the nostrils.

Exhaling through the nostrils.

Inhaling through the might.

Exhaling through the might.

Inhaling through the nostrils.

Exhaling through the might.

And inhaling through the might.

Exhaling through the nostrils.

So you're going to do that 5 more times at your own pace,

Keeping your eyes closed.

Inhale through the nostrils.

Exhale through the nose.

Inhale through the nostrils.

Exhale So let's do the last two rounds here now together.

So let's inhale through the nostrils,

Exhale through the nostrils.

One last round now together.

Inhaling through the nostrils,

Exhaling through Inhaling through the nostrils.

Exhaling through the nostrils.

Inhaling through the might.

Exhaling through the might.

Inhaling through the nostrils.

Exhale when it's true the right.

Inhale through the right.

Exhaling it through the nostrils.

Inhaling in the air.

So this breathing technique can be used when things get really tough,

When times get really challenging,

Which they will from time to time because that is life.

You can sit down and change your story.

You can watch how you direct your energy and your words.

Just remember when you point a finger to others,

A tree comes back at you.

So maybe something that you can say to yourself is,

Here I go with my story again,

Let's talk about something else.

Remember that opinions of yourself are illusions.

It's not how you fall,

It's how you rise.

Surround yourself with reminders.

Set yourself beautiful reminders in your phone.

Stick beautiful poster,

Posted reminders around your home.

Be gentle and know that this work takes patience and time.

Remember that anything done fast won't last.

Even if you look out and think of the trees and nature,

They take hundreds of years to grow.

So if you look out to nature,

Nature never rushes,

Life never rushes.

It's only humans that are caught in this constant rushing.

Be gentle,

Feel,

Soften and allow yourself to be vulnerable.

You can use this breathing technique time and time again when you're faced with challenging times.
