Hello everyone and welcome to this morning mindful meditation.
My name is Ben Holt and it's an honor to have you here.
In this morning mindful meditation we are going to simply be connecting with our breath and relaxing our minds so that for the day we can be present grounded and peaceful.
First and foremost let's go ahead and get into a nice seated position either with our legs crossed or our feet on the ground but our back nice and straight.
Our shoulders gently rolled back away from the ears and our chin gently tilted down.
Another thing you can do is put your tongue to the roof of the mouth just right behind the teeth.
Beautiful.
Once you're in this position it's time to go ahead and begin.
Throughout this meditation I invite you to find your own rhythm,
Find your own flow here but in the meantime I invite you to follow my guidance as I guide you into a deep beautiful meditative state.
First things first we are going to gently take a nice deep breath in through the nose filling up the belly first and then gently into the chest allowing the breath to gently suspend for a moment and exhaling the breath slowly out through the nose.
Gentle pause at the very bottom of the exhale and repeat inhaling through the nose filling up the belly and gently letting the breath come into the chest.
Gentle pause at the top and slowly exhale through the nose.
Once again gentle pause at the bottom of the exhale and slowly inhale once again filling up the belly all the way in the bottom of the belly into the middle belly,
Upper belly and gently into the chest.
Brief suspension at the top and slowly letting it go through the nose.
Now as you continue to breathe inhaling deep into the belly I invite you to with your awareness in your mind and heart say I am inhaling.
Now brief suspension at the top and slowly exhaling out saying I am exhaling.
Bringing your full awareness to the exhale.
At the bottom as we begin our inhale once again deep into the belly I am inhaling.
Full awareness into your breath.
I am exhaling.
I am inhaling.
Full awareness.
Speaking with me I am exhaling.
I am inhaling.
I am exhaling.
You're going to repeat this as you inhale and exhale saying I am inhaling.
I am exhaling.
Bringing your full attention,
Your full awareness to the act of inhaling and exhaling.
Go ahead and continue this process as we listen to the beautiful music and you relax deep into this meditation.
It relaxes all of the body.
Our last breath in and out.
