So,

Today I want you to find a spot in a room that's away from all the noise and get comfortable.

Once you're comfortable,

I want you to clear your mind.

Anything that's going through your head,

To-do lists,

Things that have been happening during the day,

Future plans,

I want you to let those thoughts float away.

And then I want you to take one breath in,

And then let it out.

And now put your hand to your heart.

This helps release chemicals in the brain that will help you feel the love today and open yourself to receiving your own love.

And when you feel like you would like to let your hand go,

Feel free to let your hand fall down at any moment and rest or keep holding it there.

Whatever you need today,

Take yourself where you are at.

So how do we love ourselves more?

Or how do we accept our own love?

The first step is thinking of all the things that make you,

You.

What are those internal traits that have always been a part of who you are?

What are those characteristics of yourself?

I want you to think about those and list a few in your head.

And once you've focused on a select few,

I want you to keep thinking of those in your mind right now.

So once you have thought of both of those,

I want you to say the phrase,

I am,

Adjective that you're thinking of in your mind.

So say it out loud now.

I am.

Say it one more time.

I am.

Truly let those words sink in.

Truly let those words be filled with love and admiration for who you are in that quality in you.

And now think of the second characteristic.

And again,

I want you to repeat.

I am.

Insert the characteristic.

So together,

I am.

One more time.

I am.

Those are two things that have always been a part of you.

Those are what make you you.

And it's time to start affirming and loving yourself in those two areas.

Next,

I want you this week or this day to think of those two qualities often throughout the day when things happen that are difficult.

When something unexpected happens,

When you're faced with a hard situation,

When the day is just not going the way you planned.

I want you to remember those qualities in yourself.

Bring it back to the basics of who you are in that you're still that person,

No matter what happens,

And no matter what comes your way.

And you will persevere.
