Hello and welcome to Gym Mental with Coach Rob Silver.
Today we're going to do a little bit of experimenting and feeling into our body.
Why?
Because it's going to help us relieve any tension and anxiety that we have.
Now in order to do this you could be sitting in the chair or standing up.
The most important thing is you provide a space for yourself for quiet for the next few moments so you can really get into your body and really feel this.
Let's get started.
If you're standing bring your feet shoulder-width apart and just stand up nice tall and comfortably.
If you're sitting make sure you're sitting in a relaxed state so that you don't feel like you have to move around a lot.
And we're going to start off by closing our eyes nice and gently and slowly taking a nice inhale in through the nose and exhaling through the mouth.
As we slowly relax and feel gently into our bodies we're going to begin to notice the front of our face.
Front of our mouth and nose and cheek and chin on both sides just really navigating and feeling into that area.
As you slowly take a nice breath in through the nose and exhale through the mouth.
Bringing that awareness and energy now to the front of the throat,
The front of the chest,
Top of the shoulders and just having it down past the torso,
The arms on both sides of the body,
All the way down to the end of the fingertips.
As you take that nice inhale in through the nose and exhale through the mouth.
Bringing that full awareness and attention now to the front of the pelvic area,
Down past the front of the thighs,
The front of both knees and down past your shins all the way to the tops of both of your feet.
As you notice and feel into the body with one nice inhale in through the nose and exhale through the mouth.
Next we're going to navigate to the back of the body.
What does the back of the head feel like?
The back of the neck and the shoulders?
Remembering to be gentle as you move through these areas of your body.
Letting them move and articulate and however they feel comfortable like water.
As we bring that awareness down past the lower part of the back,
The back of the legs,
Behind the knees,
All the way down to the calves and the back of the heels.
As you take a nice inhale in through the nose and exhale through the mouth.
Bringing that awareness and attention now to the right side of the body.
Starting with the right eye,
The right side of the nose and cheek and chin.
And slowly navigating that energy around past the right ear to the back part of the right of the head.
And just slowly,
Slowly taking one nice inhale in through the nose and exhale through the mouth.
Bringing that awareness and attention to the right shoulder and the right side of the neck.
The upper part of the right chest,
The upper part of the right back and navigating that energy down the right arm all the way down to the end of fingertips.
Down the right front of the torso and the lower part of the back.
Till we reach that hip area and just navigate right down through that right leg,
Front and the back,
Past the knees and the shins and the calves,
All the way down to the bottom of the right of the foot.
As you take that nice inhale in through the nose and exhale through the mouth.
Bringing all that awareness and attention down to the left side of the body.
Starting with the left eye,
The left side of the nose,
Cheek and mouth.
And bringing that attention and awareness past the left ear around back to the part of the left of the head.
Just gently feeling into this area.
As you slowly,
Slowly take a nice inhale in and exhale out.
Bringing that awareness to the left shoulder,
The left heart of the chest and back.
And navigating that awareness down through the left arm all the way to the end of the fingertips.
Taking a nice inhale in and exhaling out.
Bringing that awareness down past the left part of the torso,
The left part of the back,
Down past the left hip,
Down through the left leg,
The front of the knee and the back of the knee,
Down past the shin and the calf.
As we feel all the way down into that left foot.
Taking a nice inhale in and exhaling out.
Bringing our awareness now to the top of our head.
What's it feel like just to bring all the awareness to the top?
Nice and gently.
Feeling into our body as we take a nice inhale in and exhale out.
We'll gently and slowly bring all our awareness down to the bottoms of our feet.
Arms are nice and dangly at the side.
You're just feeling into the bottoms of the feet.
As you slowly inhale and lift the arms out diagonally to the left side.
Nice stretch.
Feel it and then slowly just let it down and let it go.
Coming back down into the body nice and gently.
Feeling into the bottoms of the feet again.
And then inhaling and reaching out to the other side nice and gently.
Stretch.
And exhale bringing it back down to the center.
Move the shoulders around.
Move the feet around a little bit and wiggle those fingers.
And just take one more nice inhale in.
And exhale out.
You just got it done.
