This meditation will help you honor what is present for you mentally, emotionally, and somatically. It will then guide you to ask the parts of your personality to relax back so that you can experience your core self. This meditation is based on wisdom from Parts Work / Internal Family Systems. This meditation comes in version 1 and version 2. Version 2 (this meditation) contains less instruction than version 1 and more silence. It is best suited to those who have experience with IFS work.

This meditation will help you connect to your own core self energy.

Let's begin.

Close your eyes and find a comfortable position,

Feeling the support of the surface underneath your body.

And as you feel the support of the surface underneath you,

Notice where your breath is,

Watching your breath as it moves in and out of your body.

Begin closer and closer into your internal world with each breath that you take.

And start to get curious about what's going on in your body and in your inner world right now.

Begin to scan your body from your head down to your toes,

Noticing what's going on inside.

And see if you can get curious about what parts of you feel present right now.

Acknowledging whatever's present for you with an open heart.

And if it feels right to you,

You can even extend some gratitude to these parts of you for the purpose that they're trying to serve.

And for right now,

See if these parts of you would be willing to relax for a few moments so that you can have some space to open up more into your own core self energy.

And if your parts are willing to relax back,

You will experience your core self energy emerging.

And if there are any parts of you that are still present,

That's okay.

Just noticing that and gently asking them if they would be willing to relax so you can open up more into your body.

And just resting in your core self.

Just dropping further and further into this feeling of your core self and allowing it to expand in your body as you rest in your center.

And now if it feels right to you,

You can just relax.

And if it feels right to you,

You can shine your inner light of your core self towards any parts of you that might need it so that they can benefit from this experience as well.

And if you can,

Just stay there.

Now see if you can carry the state back with you as you come back into the room,

Beginning to feel the surface underneath your body and noticing your breath,

Maybe beginning to stretch or move your body a little bit.

And then whenever you're ready,

You can open up your eyes,

Taking all the time you need to adjust back into the room around you,

Taking your time and seeing if you can carry the state back along with you as you go back into the rest of your day.

Overall, I loved it. I will certainly do it again. There are a couple spots where I thought You could slow down the cadence of your speech. Otherwise, I really enjoyed it. I like your overall philosophy and the words you choose. Near the beginning, you say "Notice what is present for you." I didn't know where to direct my attention. Should I still be observing my body? My emotions?
