Hello,

Welcome to this meditation led by Claudia Silas,

A mindful movement and meditation teacher.

Hello and welcome to today's meditation which is going to help you to slow your role,

Help you to slow down and just be for a few moments.

So many of us are busy,

Stressed and have lots going on in our lives.

This is the nature of the modern world we live in and often these periods of stress or busyness can indicate some kind of growth or change or action happening in your life.

They're not necessarily things to be looked on negatively but we do need to find ways of coping during these periods because they can feel overwhelming or exhausting.

This is a really great practice to use in moments of busyness or stress,

Maybe when your mind is moving very quickly or you notice a fizzing energy in your body.

This can really just help to ground you.

I want you to start by finding a comfortable place to sit or lie down.

I do really recommend lying down for today's practice if that's available for you.

I want you to begin by noticing how you're feeling today,

Energetically,

Physically,

Mentally,

What's running through your mind,

Emotionally.

Just notice what's happening for you here today.

You may notice that your mind is trying to take you into a place of what you should be doing,

How busy you are,

What you need to get done,

If you really have time to even do this meditation.

But just see if you can stay with the awareness of your body,

Emotions,

Energy and mind,

Rather than becoming consumed by your thinking.

Start to watch your natural breath as it floats in and out of your body.

Notice the quality,

The rhythm,

The pace of your breath.

And without being forceful in any way,

I just want you to see if you can slow your breathing down into a place that feels comfortable,

Increasing the depth and length of your breathing.

Maybe you already notice that you're breathing into some more spaces that you didn't realize you could breathe into,

Simply because your body was habitually breathing a certain way.

Feel the breath coming into your belly,

Lower back,

The front side and back of your ribs,

The chest and upper back.

And then just allow it to trickle away like a wave.

Breathing into belly,

Lower back,

Rib cage,

Chest,

Upper back as you breathe in.

And then letting it go like a wave as you breathe out.

And start to feel the breath expanding now to the edges of your body.

As you breathe in,

The breath's coming all the way to the top of the head,

The fingertips and toes,

The edges of your skin.

And again,

Just letting it go like a wave as you breathe out.

Calm and steady,

Breathing into your whole body.

360 degree breathing,

Allowing yourself to fill up all the way to the edges of your body before letting it go like a wave.

Okay,

And just allowing the breath to be for now.

Just letting it rest into something more natural.

But you may notice that your natural breath is not the same as it was at the beginning of your practice.

I want you to start shifting your awareness into your body.

Becoming more and more relaxed,

Softening and letting go.

See if you can release all of your soft tissues,

Your muscles,

Your ligaments,

Your tendons,

Your fascia.

Just let them go.

Feel them unwinding and unraveling away from the joints and bones.

Unraveling like thread.

Let go of any gripping or grasping.

Let go of any tension or tightness that you may be clinging on to.

And if you're struggling to let go,

Use your exhale to really help you unravel into a stillness where only the breath remains floating in and out.

Feel free to stay here as long as your day allows you to.

Thank you for practicing with me.

I hope you can find this calm and stillness throughout your days.

No matter how much is going on,

No matter how much life throws at you,

Know that you can check back into this place and give yourself a moment to unwind and be still.
