This meditation is a classic in advaita: just resting in 'I am'. Only knowing 'I am' - without description, no characteristics; pure being. For now, forget who you think you are. only 'I am', nothing more. Here, be peaceful, boundless, empty and quiet. This is your true Self. Resting here means finding peace beyond any conditions.

With a deep breath maybe.

Breathing in this moment,

In the body.

Just become aware of this inner space,

The experience of sitting,

The various sensations of sitting,

The touch of the body on your seat,

The touch of clothes to your skin.

Relaxing the face.

And also feel this spaciousness,

This inner realm that has no boundaries.

And notice how it's ever changing.

The experience of the body is never the same.

It's kind of random.

Now we feel the feet,

Then the knees,

Then the back,

And those feelings are ever changing.

The only thing not changing is this sense of presence,

The implicit knowledge,

I am.

Implicit sense,

I am.

So though one moment you may feel like this,

And the next moment you may feel like that,

All the time.

Beyond it or underneath it is the sense,

I am.

I am here.

I am here.

Feel the silence of this,

I am.

So though there are thoughts and feelings,

Give no special meaning to them.

They can be there,

They will be there,

But there's nothing that we have to do with them.

We don't have to go into them.

We need not be interested now.

Dreams may come,

Memories,

Plans.

They cannot bring you any peace.

They're just ideas.

So leave them and rest in this pure I am.

Pure being.

So the I in I am has no meaning,

Has no identity,

No characteristics.

It is just a being.

Just I am.

I am.

I am.

I am.

There's nothing we need.

There's nothing you need extra.

Let go of the idea that something's needed.

You have to plan something.

You have to hold on to something.

Only rest in this pure being.

And when the thoughts come up,

Try to take the attention along into some complications,

Some difficulty,

Something beautiful even.

Remind yourself I am.

Only this.

I am.

Devoid of all the extras,

Of all meanings.

Just I am.

I am.

Feelings can be there,

Feelings in the body,

Emotional feelings.

They can be there but pay no attention.

Just I am is enough.

It is the base,

The bottomless bottom.

Because nothing can take it away from you.

It is always here.

The implicit knowing.

I am.

I am.

Like this.

You are in the purest form,

A formless form,

A pure being,

Pure being aware.

Empty,

Quiet,

Peaceful.

This I am has no boundaries,

No beginning,

No end.

It is not the I am of I am like this and like that,

A man,

A woman,

This age.

I like this or that,

I don't like that.

And so on,

None of that.

All that we leave aside.

There's only being.

The purest I am.

Your anything is added.

Rest in and as.

I am.

I am.

I am.

This is your truest being.

Any characteristic that you add and hold on to,

It's just a concept.

It's an idea.

There's nothing wrong with that,

But it's not true in the absolute sense.

Rest in the peace of only being and not being anyone.

Be free and timeless as I am.

Rest in peace.

Feel this spaciousness.

This quiet.

Where you can truly be yourself.

Pure being.

I am.

I am.

I am.
