You might take a deep breath,
Breathe out any tension,
Any restlessness,
And then carefully repeat a few times if you like.
Become aware of your body.
Just connect to the space of it and the various sensations,
The warmth,
The tensions,
Even the discomfort,
If it is there,
Without any opinion or any longing for it to be different.
Just observing what's here.
Like this,
Rest in this moment,
Feeling the breath moving in your body,
Being content with this moment.
Nothing more is needed.
Nothing different is needed.
Just this in-breath and this out-breath.
Quietly breathing,
Quietly being,
You might relax the face,
Relax your eyes,
Your mouth.
Allow for a little smile to appear,
Sitting with a sense of contentment.
We often long for something better,
Striving to improve things,
To get it right.
But when we let go of the striving and the longing and the expecting,
Then there is a natural peace immediately.
Just be here,
Contented as it is.
The sitting itself is fulfilling,
Feeling how the body's sitting,
Feeling the space of your body just being,
Feeling the breath moving in and out.
The breath is content of itself.
Enough air to breathe in,
Enough air to breathe out.
Let go.
Even if the breath doesn't feel nice,
It is enough.
Being with what is.
This moment is quite enough.
Nothing's missing.
Nothing's in excess.
Rest in this and be happy.
Even if you get distracted by thoughts,
Plans,
Longings,
Wishes,
It doesn't matter.
It's just part of it.
You'll notice sooner or later,
This is all thinking.
And right there,
You are aware and present in the moment.
And there's nothing extra needed.
You can just be here as you are,
Not wishing for anything more or anything better.
Be free from desires.
Be free from resistance.
Just be happily content with the present moment.
What else would you need?
It's only the mind that can always make up some lack,
Some problem.
But if you carefully look and be quiet,
You will see this moment is complete.
Receiving it is happiness,
Is a quiet joy.
Receiving it just as it is.
