Welcome.

Let us find a comfortable position either cross-legged on the floor,

Sitting in a chair,

Or lying down.

What matters most is that you feel comfortable and relaxed.

Taking some deep breaths in through your nose and letting them out through your nose.

Starting at the top of your head,

Let's relax all the muscles in our body.

Relaxing the muscles in your face,

Your cheeks,

Your shoulders,

And down your back,

Through your abdomen.

Release the tensions of the day.

Let go of your worries and all the thoughts that cause you anxiety and stress.

Relaxing down through your legs and your feet.

Taking some more deep breaths in through your nose and out through your nose.

And just be in this moment.

Our lives become so busy.

We become distracted by work,

Taking care of others,

And doing things that are supposed to make us happy.

Running around from one place to another,

Or distracting the mind with social media or other forms of entertainment.

Too often we forget that this busying,

Doing projects,

Responsibilities keep us from enjoying what's right here,

Right now,

Right in front of us,

Within us.

The present moment.

Growing up,

We learned that happiness was a product of receiving something,

Whether it was an object or a person's affection.

Rarely did we think of happiness as something that came from within,

By being grateful for the present moment.

Our life is not happening in the past,

It's not yet happening in the future either.

It is only happening right now,

In this moment.

This moment is all we can hold onto.

Take some more deep breaths in through your nose and out through your nose.

Living in gratitude during the present moment does not mean we do not dream.

It doesn't mean we don't ever think or plan for the future.

Living in gratitude for the present moment means that we practice quieting our mind.

We practice through meditation.

This practice trains our mind to be able to come back to our breath in the present moment.

During times of stress or anxiety,

We are able to calm ourselves better than we used to.

Living in the present means we don't miss out on those beautiful moments,

The times that we wish we could relive.

Living in the present allows us to have gratitude during these special moments,

So we never have to look back with regrets.

The present moment is where we all live,

It is where we breathe and feel love.

Rest here a moment,

Bring to mind all the things you are grateful for.

Hold them,

Give them your attention,

And give them your love.

Coming back,

Breathing in,

Smile.

As you go on with your day,

If you start feeling worried about the future or saddened by the past,

Just come back to your breath and remember,

We do not live in the past or the future.

We live our life right here,

Right now,

In this present moment.

All my love to you.
