Welcome to this introduction to meditation.
Today we will focus on letting go of negative thinking patterns and finding peace within.
Too often our lives can seem like they are running away from us,
Between work,
Family life,
And our own inner struggles.
Far off in the distance we picture what we wish we had,
To be able to follow our dreams,
To not feel so stuck,
To just feel okay.
I'm here to tell you your dreams aren't so far off,
And maybe coming back,
Entering into your own self,
Coming to a place where you can feel safe and calm,
Can allow you to take the next right step towards your dream.
No matter what is going on in your life,
These meditations will teach you to come back to yourself,
To breathe with the rolling waters of your life,
Instead of fighting with them.
So let's start by finding a comfortable position,
Either sitting down or lying down,
Whatever feels good for you right now.
You can close your eyes and fold your hands in your lap or leave them at your side.
Take in a deep breath and then exhale.
Take in another deep breath,
Feeling the air through your nose and then letting it out through your nose,
Feeling the breath enter and then exit.
With each new breath,
Draw it in further and let the air go down to your abdomen and then exhale it out.
The more you practice breathing in and out,
The easier it will become,
The more relaxed you will feel and present.
Thoughts that come in and out during meditation,
They are a part of the process.
Don't fight them.
The more you focus on your breath,
The more your thoughts will slow down.
The more present you become,
The more peace you will feel.
Remember to always come back to your breath.
Let the thoughts come in and let them go and then come back to your breath,
Breathing in and out.
Breathing in through your nose and out,
In and out.
Bring your hands to your chest and hold your heart.
Nothing is too difficult to conquer.
All your pain and suffering can be lessened by just learning to come back to your breath.
Join me here and we practice together.
Namaste.
