When emotions begin to overwhelm, we remember that we are not our emotions. We recognize them as what they are - simply emotions, and we ride them like a wave. You are strong in yourself and able to simply ride the wave.

We welcome ourselves to this moment.

We call ourselves from the past and future and connect with ourselves here in this moment,

In this space and time.

Beginning with the breath,

Breathe in slowly and deeply,

Filling your body with life,

Peace,

And relaxation,

And breathe out slowly and intentionally,

Releasing any tension,

Stress,

Or obstacles that might interfere with your work today.

Again,

Breathe in slowly and deeply,

Filling your body with peace and wisdom,

Just feeling that relaxation moving through you.

And breathe out slowly and gently with a deeper level of relaxation as you simply allow your breath to just continue naturally and feel the effectiveness of my words.

Notice the top of your head and feel a peaceful,

Calm,

Wonderfully warm light beginning to fill your body.

As it continues,

It becomes a deep wave of relaxation in whatever color or feeling that you experience it.

As you feel it move down behind your eyelids,

Your eyes,

Your cheeks,

Face,

And jaw,

You feel it move towards the back of your head and down over your throat,

It increases and warms,

Goes down to the base of your spine,

Allowing you to relax and release and just let go as it goes deeper and deeper still.

It feels so wonderful and good.

Light moves across your chest and shoulders,

Down the arms and through your fingertips.

You might feel a light tingle or warmth and that is a good sign that the tension is leaving your body and you're becoming more and more relaxed.

Light travels slowly down your hips,

Legs,

And out your toes,

Leaving you feeling completely relaxed and calm.

You become aware of the points where your body touches the surface you're resting on.

You feel the sensation of your feet and the connection with the support.

You allow your feet to gently sink into the surface and allow it to support your feet and you feel so good and supported.

Now you pay attention to your backside where you make contact with the support you're resting on.

You just relax into it,

Allow yourself to gently sink into it,

Allow it to support you.

It is safe and you are supported here and you feel so wonderfully relaxed and comfortable.

You begin at the top of a spiral staircase with ten steps.

It is dark and quiet.

You are completely safe as you begin your descent down to a peaceful place.

I'll count down from ten on each step and as you go you'll feel more deeply relaxed on every step.

Ten.

Nine.

Relaxing deeper and deeper.

Eight.

Seven.

Feeling an even deeper change.

Six.

Five.

Trusting yourself and the process.

Four.

Going even deeper now.

Three.

Two.

And one.

Two.

Three.

Four.

Five.

Six.

Seven.

Eight.

Nine.

Three.

Two.

And one.

You are now in a safe,

Comfortable,

Peaceful place.

This place is where your heart,

Mind and soul connect fully with one another.

Think of how wonderful and comfortable this place is.

Be aware of the things you see,

The sounds that you hear,

Any lovely smells or sensations that you have here in this wonderful,

Peaceful place.

You feel opened up to love and to learning about yourself here.

Incomfortable with the process of growing stronger and healthier.

You feel safe and relaxed here.

In this room is a door and as you walk through the door you find yourself carried to a small sailboat sitting on the ocean.

The ocean is flat,

Calm and blue.

It is beautiful and the sky is clear.

After a moment,

The sky begins to darken and you notice the surface of the water beginning to rise and fall.

Eventually waves are crashing all around you.

You know that you are confident,

Strong and at ease at all times and these waters cannot harm you in this place.

These waters are simply your emotions.

Any change in the weather could affect them.

Sometimes you can see the storm brewing from out in the horizon and sometimes the winds pick up and change with very little warning.

But these emotions do not toss your boat and you are able to be strong and take control of the sails and simply ride the waves.

The waves are what they are.

It is okay.

It's just emotion.

And in the next 90 days you will notice as your feelings arise that you are strong and capable to maintain your sense of self and simply ride the waves of your emotions without feeling the need to react but merely to respond in love and wisdom and in a way that will truly benefit your higher,

Happier,

Healthier self.

Now you've ridden the waves all the way to shore and you find the door back to your peaceful place and walk through it.

You find another spiral staircase at the top of which is this present world.

I'm going to count to 10 on each step and at 10 you will feel yourself become more present and join with me completely.

3,

Letting any scenes or emotions fade into the background,

4,

5,

6,

Feeling yourself returning and making small movements,

7,

8,

9,

And 10.

Feeling totally safe and comfortable,

You allow yourself to become fully aware of this place,

Slowly opening your eyes.

And now we are ready to begin today's work.
