Good morning.
Let's greet the day and prime our minds for gratitude and growth.
So finding a comfortable position and just starting to notice your breath.
Feeling your lungs expand on the inhale and contract on the exhale.
Feeling the weight of your hips settling into your chair or your cushion.
Just relaxing your muscles.
What a gift it is to wake up today.
Let's start by silently repeating some positive affirmations.
We know that gratitude is strongly linked with contentment and happiness.
So let's start with gratitude for the day.
I'm grateful for this day.
I am grateful for my body.
I am grateful for my mind.
I am grateful for everything I will experience today.
And let your mind fill in the blanks here.
I am grateful for.
.
.
Let it come from within you.
What is something that you feel deep,
Earnest gratitude for in this moment?
Now there will be many things that you do today and many opportunities for self-doubt to enter your mind.
And as we are programming our minds for growth and trying to increase our confidence and our ability to stick with things even when they're challenging,
We are going to recite some growth mindset mantras together.
I can succeed with determination and effort.
I embrace challenges.
I can overcome them.
I'm never going to stop trying.
I seek out challenges.
I can learn anything.
I haven't figured it out completely yet,
But I will.
I am improving with practice.
On days when I don't succeed,
I try again.
I'm willing to do what it takes to create lasting positive change.
Just notice how your body is feeling.
Notice if your mind is protesting,
If you're particularly feeling fear or imposter syndrome.
Just remembering I can learn anything if I give myself the time and space to practice.
Whatever is on my to-do list,
I can chip away at it.
I can apply myself.
Even if I'm not sure I can accomplish the task,
I can try.
If I'm stuck,
I can reach out to someone who can help me.
I have resources.
I can problem solve.
I can accomplish my wildest dreams with continued effort.
I can bring my worries and fears with me and do it anyway.
Feelings aren't facts,
And they're temporary.
I don't always have to feel brave to be brave.
I am becoming a truer,
More authentic version of myself.
I'm working hard in service of my wildest dreams.
And I'm not alone.
I'm surrounded by lots of people doing scary things and hoping for the best,
And failing and trying and failing again and trying again.
Turning your focus to your breath,
Just allowing yourself to take a few more deep inhales and exhales,
Really filling up on the inhales and as you exhale,
Letting go of self-doubt or frustration or any stagnant feelings.
And as you inhale,
Breathing in the possibility of this day,
Breathing in confidence.
You can keep putting one foot in front of the other.
You can do hard things.
Enjoy this day.
Thank you for practicing.
