So just finding a nice comfortable position,
Finding some length through the spine,
Gently lifting the crown of the head,
Closing down the eyes and tuning into your breath.
Just taking this moment to simply notice your breath.
As you begin to watch your breath,
Notice how it changes.
Now as we change and notice our breath,
We can control the heart rate,
The amount of oxygen supply to the body and the cells.
And slow our thoughts and bring stillness to the mind and relaxation to the muscles.
Notice your breath,
Like the waves,
Breathing in through the nose,
Filling up the belly on the in-breath.
Breathing out of the mouth and relaxing the belly towards the spine.
Breathing in,
Filling up,
Exhaling,
Letting go.
Breathing at the top of your breath,
This moment of pause,
Of stillness,
Before you begin to exhale.
Even like the waves crashing on the shore,
That moment of pause,
Of stillness,
Before the tide starts to reach and retreat back to the sea.
Slowly wondering thoughts,
Gently bringing them back to your breath.
As you begin to inhale deeply into the belly,
Perhaps exhaling with a sigh and letting go,
Beginning to bring your awareness back to your surroundings,
Wriggling your toes and your fingers.
Starting to deepen the belly breath.
Inhaling deeply,
Exhaling,
Letting go.
Breathing deeply,
Filling up the belly,
Exhaling,
Letting everything go.
And you're ready,
Gently blinking open your eyes and returning back to the room.
