Welcome to this mindful meditation on the beach.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable position either seated or lying down.
Gently close your eyes as you hear the sounds of the ocean and your breath.
Calm your breath,
Moving air in and out through your nose.
Make sure that these are long,
Gentle,
Mindful inhales and exhales.
To help you to relax,
Gently place the tip of your tongue at the roof of your mouth,
Just behind your two upper front teeth.
You can feel the warm,
Salt air entering your nostrils as you expand your belly,
Allowing the air to fill your lungs completely.
Listen as the ocean waves calm your breath.
Be aware of your entire body as you scan each part,
Allowing your long,
Slow inhales and exhales to set the pace.
Begin with your feet,
Feel the warm sand surrounding your toes.
Move that calming feeling up into your legs,
Relaxing your shins and your calves and your pelvis.
Next,
Bring your awareness to the base of your spine and your pelvic floor.
This is where your root chakra resides.
This area is responsible for your sense of safety,
Security,
Strength,
Warmth and sexuality.
Allow the rhythm of the ocean waves to keep you in this state of relaxed mindfulness.
Moving your scan upward into your abdominal area,
Release any stress here and invite your stomach muscles to relax as you move into the area of your solar plexus.
This area is responsible for clear thinking,
Learning,
Confidence and power.
As we move up into your chest area,
Take a few moments to hear your heart beating and your lungs moving the air gently in and out.
Your heart chakra is here.
This is the area of your body responsible for your growth,
Balance and love.
Move your scan up into your neck and shoulders and release any tension that you might be feeling here.
In this area,
Your throat chakra is responsible for your creativity,
Healing and communication.
This area is responsible for your health,
Health and well-being.
Next,
Move up to the region of your eyes and find a neutral position for your gaze behind your eyelids.
This area of your body is where your higher consciousness resides.
Move your scan into your forehead and finally into the crown of your head.
Here you will find peace of mind,
Spirit and your higher self.
You can now gently open your eyes,
Bring your awareness back to the present.
I hope that you have enjoyed this peaceful,
Mindful meditation.
Namaste.
