Before we begin,
Please make sure you're somewhere safe where you can fully relax,
Not driving,
Not operating machinery,
Just free to let your whole system rest.
I'm Chibzo Kereke and this is a gentle sleep meditation to help you let go of anxiety and allow your mind to settle.
A space where you can drift,
Peacefully and naturally,
Into a deeper,
More restorative sleep.
You may notice that your body begins to soften,
As your thoughts slow,
And with each passing moment,
It becomes easier to welcome rest.
This is time for you to unwind,
To release the day and to ease into a sleep that feels deeply replenishing,
Like gentle rain washing through the mind.
There's no need to try or do anything in particular,
You're free to simply listen or not listen,
To let your awareness drift or stay gently tuned in.
Either way,
These words are here to support your calm,
To soothe your nervous system and to remind you that your body knows how to rest all on its own,
Without effort,
Without force.
After the initial relaxation gently guides you into rest,
The hypnosis portion will begin.
Once the hypnosis portion is complete,
You'll hear calming affirmations,
Softly repeating on loop in the background,
Gradually fading quieter and quieter as the session goes on.
Even when your conscious mind sleeps peacefully,
Your subconscious mind will continue to absorb the positive signals,
Supporting deep,
Uninterrupted rest.
So now,
To begin,
Take a moment to make sure you've done anything you need to do before sleep,
Maybe setting an alarm or simply letting yourself know that there's nothing else to take care of now.
This is your time to unwind,
To give yourself full permission to rest,
To allow your awareness to begin shifting from the outside world into the gentle rhythm of your breath,
Into that quieter,
Slower pace that signals the body it's safe to let go.
And even as you listen,
Some part of you may already know how to follow these inner pathways,
Into calmer places,
More soothing sensations.
If at any point you need to wake,
You'll be able to do that easily,
Just by opening your eyes,
Fully aware and able to respond if needed.
For now,
If every part of you feels ready,
If you're willing to soften into rest,
Then there's nothing more to do.
You're free to drift,
To dream,
To float a little further into the quiet,
Letting thoughts move into the background,
As your body settles and your mind opens to the possibility of a deeper kind of rest.
Now,
If you like,
You might begin to imagine,
Just gently,
In the background of your awareness,
That you're taking the very first steps into a more peaceful place within,
Somewhere quiet,
Soothing,
A place that feels just right for this moment of rest.
There may be images or just a felt sense of calm unfolding,
Moments arriving,
Softer and slower,
As if something inside you is asking,
Am I ready to let go now?
And if the answer feels like yes,
You might allow your eyes to close now,
If they haven't already.
Or simply notice how they may be growing heavier,
Without you needing to do anything at all.
You might even count,
Slowly and silently,
In your mind.
Three,
Two,
One,
And with each blink,
Or each moment of stillness,
Your body softens,
Your thoughts settle,
And your awareness begins to move inward,
As if dusk is settling over the landscape of your mind,
Softening the edges and gently drawing everything into stillness.
The day can fade now,
And you don't need to hold onto it,
Not anymore.
Perhaps it feels,
Just for a moment,
As though evening is arriving inside.
A gentle twilight settling,
Dimming the day and making room for quiet,
The light softens,
Edges blur and the outer world grows distant while a new space opens within.
A space of calming images,
Of soothing scenes,
Where your inner world begins to stir,
And offers you glimpses of the rest you've been needing.
Moments of stillness,
Memories or imaginings of peace,
Scenes you may recognize,
Or others that surprise you gently.
This is the moment where the outside show fades and the inner experience begins.
And as it begins,
You may notice something quietly shifting,
As if those deep,
Calming resources you've always carried are starting to make themselves known again.
They've simply been waiting,
Tucked away,
Ready to return whenever you were ready to welcome them.
And now,
Perhaps they begin to rise,
Those soothing ideas,
Those gentle reminders.
Your own inner wisdom,
Drifting in like a soft breeze,
Guiding you toward the comfort of sleep.
Your thoughts are freer now,
Wandering peacefully through scenes of calm,
Travelling to places that feel warm or cool,
Whatever feels most comforting to you.
Breath by breath,
You may begin to remember that your body already knows how to do this.
How to breathe,
How to rest,
How to bring itself back to calm,
Without needing to think about it.
And if your mind has been wandering,
That's perfectly ok,
You can gently bring your attention now to the quiet comfort of your breath.
Each inhale,
Soft and steady,
Each exhale,
A small release.
You might start to notice that you have more choice than you realise,
You can guide your thoughts,
Shift your focus,
Choose to breathe a little slower.
And trust that your system knows what to do from there.
Breathing in ease,
Breathing out tension,
Breathing in calm.
Breathing out what no longer needs to be held.
There's nothing you need to fix,
Nothing to force.
Only the gentle suggestion to let go,
To soften,
To unwind.
And your body knows how to do that,
It's already doing that.
You might imagine it like steam gently lifting from a warm cup,
Rising and fading into the air.
Nothing held,
Nothing forced,
Just a natural release into quiet.
Making more and more space,
For rest,
For stillness,
For peace.
As you settle further now,
You may begin to notice those old thoughts simply drifting away,
Gently fading from view,
Like clouds dissolving into the sky.
Your body,
Resting,
Softening,
Responding to the shift within you,
A deeper calm taking hold,
A quiet gift of relief.
Unfolding from the inside out,
Thoughts no longer need to be solved or chased,
They can become sensations and those sensations can simply melt into stillness.
As you breathe out,
Slowly,
With intention,
You might imagine blowing away what's left of the tension.
As though exhaling clouds across a moonlit landscape,
Letting them float on,
Beyond the horizon of your mind.
You don't need to follow them,
There's nowhere for them to go,
And nothing more for them to do.
Now,
This is your time to step back,
To soften,
Into rest.
You may begin to notice that the busyness of the day has already started to fade,
Its energy dissolving,
Naturally and completely.
And in its place,
A quieter space is beginning to grow within you,
A soft,
Dreamy kind of stillness,
Becoming your own internal sanctuary.
A place that holds you now,
In peace,
In calm,
Through this long,
Healing night of rest.
With every muscle now beginning to settle,
With every nerve softening,
Your entire system is sending gentle signals inward.
Messages of rest,
Messages of recovery,
Reaching all the way down to the quiet intelligence of your body.
Carrying calm through every cell,
Through the subtle rhythms of your nervous system,
As if your body knows exactly how to receive what it needs.
You may sense it now,
A kind of gentle wave spreading through you,
Like something soothing pouring in,
Filling up all the spaces that have longed for rest.
Perhaps,
In the background,
You can almost hear the faint rhythm of falling rain,
Each drop bringing with it a feeling of renewal.
A sense of something being washed clean,
Softly,
Patiently,
With no rush at all.
You might imagine that the older ways of holding,
Or tensing,
Are simply dissolving now.
As if you are being gently held by warm water,
Cradled and supported,
Your body floating,
Weightless,
With no effort at all.
And just beyond your awareness,
Some part of you begins to notice a shift,
As if you are stepping into another world.
One that feels lighter,
More peaceful,
A space that welcomes you,
Just as you are.
With calm all around,
And dreams waiting gently ahead,
You begin to glide towards them,
Effortlessly,
Leaving the day behind.
It's as though your mind has just witnessed something quietly beautiful,
Or a feeling that reached some deeper place inside you.
Not dramatic,
Just something real,
Something meaningful,
In a way that words can't quite explain.
Not in words alone,
But in feeling,
In rhythm,
In the way it reminded you.
How to soften,
How to let go,
How to reset those deeper patterns that no longer serve you.
And now,
As your awareness rests even more deeply,
You may notice gentle impressions arising,
Soft shifts in what you see or hear or sense.
Each one a quiet signal,
A message of safety,
Of calm,
Of reassurance that your system is learning to settle itself,
All on its own.
This healing calm,
This growing ease is making its way through you now.
Not just into your mind,
But into your heart,
Into the deeper places within you that long for rest.
A kindness towards yourself begins to take shape,
A warm sense of acceptance,
Of being enough,
Just as you are.
A steady,
Grounded inner calm,
Strengthening now,
Breath by breath,
Without needing any effort from you at all.
And all of this now gently strengthens,
Compounding the deeper layers of your inner resilience,
That quiet steadiness within you.
The part that carries you through,
Even when things feel heavy.
Day by day,
Night by night,
You are remembering how to return to calm.
You are remembering how to steady yourself,
Remembering how to feel safe,
Even in the small,
Ordinary moments.
And especially now,
As sleep surrounds you,
You may notice how easily you drift.
Almost like a character in a story,
Setting out on a gentle,
Dreamlike journey.
Stepping quietly into unknown wonderlands,
Where everything is softer,
Slower,
Safer.
Your unconscious awareness already on the move,
Following clear inner pathways,
Where visions begin to open.
And something inside you says,
Yes,
I am ready to go deeper now.
And as you float,
As you glide,
You may feel as though you are being carried by your own calm.
As if peace itself is lifting you,
Carrying you upward and outward,
Toward new possibilities.
New spaces,
Where change feels gentle and growth feels safe.
You may begin to sense colour and light,
Tones of soft gold,
Silver,
Deep royal blue.
All shifting and opening ahead of you,
As if doorways are appearing.
Wooden archways,
Timeless and welcoming,
Inviting you into a wider space.
A place made just for rest,
For dreams,
For the quiet unfolding of something new.
And it's all happening without any effort at all.
And now,
You may find yourself gliding,
Light as a feather,
Moving past the last traces of the day.
Drifting beyond the usual stops and starts of the thinking mind.
As the everyday world gently fades,
You begin to arrive somewhere quieter.
Somewhere that feels just right.
A kind of peaceful sanctuary,
Where rest comes easily and everything within you begins to settle.
And as you look down,
In your imagination,
You may notice your feet,
Already dressed for dream time.
Already walking gently through moonlit,
Misty trails.
Each step,
Slow,
Steady,
Unhurried,
Carrying you further into sleep.
There's a calm here,
The kind that fills your whole body.
Soft,
Steady.
And even as you rest deeply,
There may be a part of you still gently curious.
Still open to discovering,
Even more for them to do.
As if your awareness is following the soft glow of lanterns along a winding path.
A quiet knowing that this path leads deeper into sleep,
Into stillness,
Into peace.
And in this space,
You may catch sight of your own reflection.
A glimpse of yourself,
Smiling.
A soft,
Knowing smile,
Radiating from a place of quiet joy.
You catch your own reflection in the gentle ripple of a still pond.
Just a quiet face,
With a calm you hadn't noticed before.
A soft smile that seems to know something true about you.
And all around you now,
The sound of rain continues.
Gentle,
Rhythmic,
Washing through the streets of this dreamlike town.
Soothing every corner of the mind,
And helping every last thought melt away.
Because in these dreams,
You're simply strolling now.
Gently,
And naturally.
Moving deeper and deeper into calm.
Wandering through quiet,
Dreamlike streets.
Laneways that feel nourishing.
Peaceful,
As though the whole landscape is shifting into something more magical.
Something made just for you.
With every step,
The path becomes clearer,
Smoother.
And you may notice how the world around you seems to glow softly.
Wider streets,
Glistening with rain.
Reflecting tiny pinpoints of light in each falling droplet.
And as they fall,
And fall,
They seem to echo back your own sense of calm.
This peaceful night stretches out all around you,
And the stillness feels complete.
You might notice how the rain gathers gently in still pools.
Each one catching the faint reflection of night.
Like little mirrors,
Holding pieces of the quiet sky.
And it feels so easy now,
To let yourself soak into it.
To allow this gentle,
Glowing world to hold you.
To rest completely within this quiet place inside.
As you continue walking through this peaceful dream space.
Softly drifting.
Gently relaxing.
You may notice that someone is walking beside you.
A calm,
Reassuring presence.
Quiet,
And steady.
As if they've been there all along.
You might look to your left,
Or perhaps over your right shoulder.
And there they are.
A gentle guide.
A dreamtime companion.
Someone who feels familiar.
Safe.
Kind.
They don't need to say anything.
Their presence alone brings comfort.
You can allow your unconscious mind to shape them in whatever way feels most natural.
They might appear as someone you'd known and loved.
A friend.
A parent.
A grandparent.
Or someone you've always looked up to.
Or maybe,
They're a reflection of your wisest self.
The part of you that already knows how to rest.
How to trust.
How to feel safe.
Whoever they are.
They walk with you now.
Gently and patiently.
Offering quiet encouragement with every step.
And just knowing they're there.
Helps you to feel even more at ease.
Even more supported.
As you continue this journey.
Deeper into calm.
And so you continue walking.
Side by side with this calm,
Familiar presence.
Moving together through the quiet depths of rest.
There's no need to rush.
No need to be anywhere else.
Just two peaceful companions.
Exploring the gentle stillness.
Of this night.
The path beneath your feet softens.
Changing into smooth,
Cool stones.
And the air around you feels calm.
Spacious.
Open.
You begin to notice old shopfronts along the way.
Antique stores.
Little furniture shops.
Places filled with charm and memory.
Each one quietly closed for the night.
But through the windows.
You can see tiny treasures inside.
Delicate trinkets.
Colorful boxes.
Each one glimmering softly.
As if waiting just for you.
They seem to hold a certain magic.
A quiet calm.
From somewhere far away.
And then.
You arrive at one particular window.
A little different from the rest.
And what you see.
And without a word.
Your dream companion reaches over.
And offers you a gift.
Something simple.
And beautiful.
Held gently in their hands.
And as you receive it.
They speak the words.
The most important words.
This gift,
They say softly.
Is the secret.
And it's your key.
Carry it with you always.
Your own.
Deep.
Lasting sense of calm.
And as those words settle gently into your awareness.
You glance down.
And notice something has appeared in your hands.
A soft.
Woven shawl.
Appearing gently.
In your hands.
Woven with warmth.
And the quiet presence of calm.
And the moment you wrap it around yourself.
Your whole body.
Exhales.
A wave of ease moving through you.
And when you look back to your dream companion.
They are smiling.
With warmth in their eyes.
As if they've been waiting for this moment all along.
And you find yourself smiling too.
A gentle.
Easy smile.
Rising from somewhere very real inside you.
A recognition.
That this feeling.
This calm.
Is who you are.
Not something you have to chase or create.
Just something to remember.
To return to.
You can reach out your hand now.
And your companion takes it with ease.
The two of you continue walking together.
Arm in arm.
Beneath the softest fall of rain.
Each drop cleansing.
Healing.
Bringing rest to every part of this peaceful body.
And peaceful world around you.
You notice now.
Your dream companion.
Has a matching shawl.
Soft.
And steady.
And as you walk together.
Side by side.
You begin to feel the calm they carry.
Becoming your own.
Until it's hard to tell.
Where they end.
And you begin.
Just one steady rhythm of peace.
Fully centered.
Fully at rest.
Thank you.
Because this gift you have received.
This quiet.
Enduring calm.
This freedom.
In the mind.
This soft resilience.
Is still here with you.
And it continues to carry you.
Deeper.
And deeper.
Into the most peaceful.
Nourishing sleep.
The kind of sleep.
That softens the whole body.
That resets the mind.
And welcomes in good.
Gentle dreams.
You're sleeping now.
And your mind is gently absorbing.
Every moment.
Even if you don't hear every word.
The deeper part of you.
Is still listening.
Still remembering.
And now.
As my words become your own.
You may find that everything I say.
Deepens your calm.
Settles your system.
And invites your whole being.
To rest more completely.
So now.
I speak directly to your unconscious mind.
My mind and my body are gently adapting.
Shifting within.
Toward the calmer ways I now choose.
I sleep.
And I sleep.
And I continue to feel so good.
Because I am calm.
And I am safe.
I sleep now.
As I dream.
Because I remain so deeply.
Within this resting calm.
Each night.
I choose to welcome the quiet.
And allow my calmest sleep.
To nourish me fully.
Whatever has come before.
Gently fades now.
As I let go of every concern.
With each night.
I am learning to stay calm.
To feel at ease.
More deeply.
More naturally.
Each deep breath.
Brings me comfort.
And with every exhale.
I let go of what I no longer need.
My thoughts are soft now.
My mind is clear.
And I sleep so very well.
Relaxation deepens.
Gently.
As I open to this quiet peace within me.
Falling asleep comes easily to me.
Because I have given myself full permission to rest.
I love the ease of drifting off.
And I welcome the dreams that gently replay.
To replenish me.
I am calming now.
In my thoughts.
In my body.
In every nerve and every cell.
I remain as calm as I choose to be.
Because I trust the strength of my own mind.
Every sound I hear.
Only helps me to rest deeper.
Reminding me that I am safe.
Reminding me I am allowed to let go.
And so I do.
I let go completely now.
Because this is the time for deep uninterrupted sleep.
