Today's meditation is going to be a restorative practice to reduce stress.

It can be useful when you are feeling overwhelmed.

When there are subtle forms of disharmony within our mind,

It's important that we recognize that something is amiss.

So during this practice,

I want to offer a way for us to cultivate peace,

Instead of being caught in our pain.

Come into a position of comfort,

Sitting cross-legged with a strong spine and a soft heart.

It's important to have strength and softness in our bodies,

A reminder of how we should be on this life journey.

Sitting comfortably here,

Grounding down,

Eyes are closed,

Resting your hands on your lap,

And we breathe.

Observing the gentle swell of our breath,

Climbing down from our busy minds and into our body this way.

In breath,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Pause,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Out breath,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Pause,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Noticing our bodies being swept by the current of our breath.

And simply breathe.

In breath,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Pause,

Two,

Four,

Out breath,

Two,

Four,

Pause,

Two,

Three,

Breathing in,

I'm aware of my inhale.

Breathing out,

I'm aware of my exhale.

Just notice your body beginning to settle.

Seeing these words silently in your mind's eye,

I am resting here in my body.

I am home.

I am resting here in my body.

I am home.

I am resting in my body.

I am home.

We often forget about the home inside of us,

The home inside of our bodies.

You don't have to feel guilty about how long you haven't rested.

You simply have to arrive,

Switch off from the outside so you can switch on on the inside.

And simply breathe.

In breath,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Pause,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Out breath,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Pause,

Two,

Three,

Four.

And breathing in,

I'm aware of my inhale.

Breathing out,

I'm aware of my exhale.

Feeling the sensations here on the tip of your nose,

Your lips,

This soft hum of your own existence,

Sitting in this paused state just for a moment,

Noticing your body is strong but soft.

And breathe with me.

In breath,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Pause,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Out breath,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Pause,

Two,

Three,

Four.

I am resting here in my body.

I am home.

So you can move forward in your day with more light inside of you,

A little more grounded,

Feeling the aliveness in every cell of your being,

An awakened heart,

Being more present.

Just take a deep inhale and let out an audible exhale.

One more time,

A deep,

Beautiful inhale and an audible exhale out.

Bringing your awareness now back into your body,

Back into this room,

Wiggling your toes,

Moving your fingers.

You can open your eyes whenever you're ready and you can use this practice whenever you're feeling a little stressed.

Just remind yourself that by being aware of the beginning and endings of each breath,

Allows us to live in the present moment.

Thank you for practicing with me today.

Namaste.

Thank you.

Lovely start to my day…thank you .I appreciate the word “pause” rather than “hold” with the Box Breathing….it’s a kinder, gentler directive for me in a world of letting go.

Thank you for the wonderful meditation to help me free myself from my mind. Your guidance was paired well with the background harmony, to help slow my thoughts, focus on my breath, and then without effort release my stress. I appreciate you and this beautiful piece of art you have created.

Thank you, Chelsea. This enabled me to ground myself before both an exciting and stressful life event taking place over the next several days. My mind has been fluttering back and forth from the present and future, particularly getting stuck in worries and concerns over items, some in my control and some not, rather than being in the moment. I appreciate and am grateful for you sharing your talents and this space with me.
