If you find yourself endlessly doing, you will easily become exhausted, overwhelmed, and unresponsive to the present moment. But, in the words of Thich Nhat Hanh, "Being is the ground for doing, and the quality of your doing is informed by the quality of your being." So let's interrupt the momentum of constant doing for a moment, and drop into the ground of being for a little while. Then, we can reenter our doing from this solid ground.

In the words of Thich Nhat Hanh,

Being is the ground for doing and the quality of your doing is informed by the quality of your being.

So here,

Just really dropping into the ground of being for a little while.

Maybe taking a few deep breaths,

Relaxing tension in the body,

Anything that might be holding on and that might like to relax or release.

And if you like,

You can allow your eyes to close,

Softening the area of the eyes and just giving the eyes permission to rest and maybe extending this permission to the rest of you.

Relaxing,

Releasing,

Slowing down the momentum of your day and dropping into the moment,

Gradually slowing down to a stop.

Continually noticing if any particular tension keeps tightening up in the body,

Any clusters or pockets of holding on and just continually along with each exhale,

Releasing,

Softening.

Dropping more and more deeply into just pure being.

And now you might just take a couple more deep breaths,

Breathing in deep and letting everything go on the exhale.

Being is the ground for doing and the quality of your doing is informed by the quality of your being.

And now if your eyes were closed,

You can just wait until the moment feels right for the eyes to reopen themselves.

Feeling the eyes opening for the first time today.

Waking up for the first time today.

Being is the ground for doing.

Thank you for being here with me.

I'll see you next time.
