Let's take a few minutes just to give yourself a break and a rest.

Making yourself comfortable,

Whether that's seated upright or lying down.

And just begin by taking a few deep breaths.

Allowing your chest,

Your stomach,

Your sides and back to all expand on the inhale.

And feeling your whole body relax on the exhale.

Imagining that any stress or tension or tightness that you're feeling would just drain out of your body on the exhale.

Allowing it to release,

Relax and let go.

And beginning now to just gently scan through your body.

Noticing any particular places of tightness or tension.

And if it feels good for you,

You can place a hand on that space.

Or even begin giving yourself a little massage.

Letting out the tension in your forehead,

Your jaw,

Your neck and shoulders.

Wherever you're feeling particularly tight at the moment.

And as you give yourself this gentle,

Loving touch,

Offering yourself some words of kindness,

Appreciation.

Whatever it is that you need to hear right now.

We are so quick to judge ourselves.

To decide that we've come up short once again.

To constantly push ourselves to do more and better.

Just in this moment,

Seeing if it's possible to offer yourself some acceptance,

Some appreciation and some gratitude.

And if you've been doing a self-massage,

You can slowly bring that to stillness.

Noticing your hands,

Palms up on your thighs.

Just taking another few more deep breaths.

Noticing how you feel.

Paying attention to the state of your mind,

Your body and your emotions.

And just noticing how that's shifted in just these few moments that we've spent together.

And as you slowly transition back the rest of your day or your evening,

If you can carry this moment of stillness with you.

I hope that you feel a sense of grounding,

A sense of openness and allowing.

And I hope that you have a beautiful day.
