Welcome to day four of this series.

I'm really excited you're here with me,

Figuring out how to be productive and peaceful while working from home,

Whether you are quarantined because of a pandemic or you've made a choice to work from home.

Today is the fourth day and it is the campaign day.

Just a quick review,

Day one was clear.

Day two was a little bit more than that.

Just a quick review,

Day one was clear.

Day two was create.

Day three was collect both contacts and knowledge.

And today we are campaigning.

Now that word can mean a lot of different things.

In the digital space,

A campaign to an email list is an email that you're sending out to many people at once.

Perhaps you're sharing a story or a new product.

You can also send a campaign in a Facebook ad.

That is what Facebook ads call the ads that you're making,

A campaign.

You can set one of those up to either grow your Instagram if you don't have anything to sell or perhaps you have a free product you can give people so that they give you their email and you can start to grow your email list.

You can also run campaigns through several different sites.

One of my favorites is Foundee,

F-O-U-N-D.

E-E.

So email campaigns,

Advertising campaigns,

And then the third campaign I like to call is just pitching.

In my course,

The Perfect Pitch,

I encourage all musicians to get really clear before they ever make a pitch.

If you are not clear on what you want,

No one else is going to be clear on it.

So a great thing to do is to sit down and write out some goals that you have for yourself.

What results do you want to see in the near future?

Actual tangible results,

So ideally there's a number attached to it.

Create a goal and then look backwards.

Okay,

Who could help me achieve this goal?

And what do I specifically need to ask that person in order for them to say yes?

So here's the thing,

You actually have to ask them a question.

Specifically,

A yes or no question.

You want to ask a yes or no question so that that person can actually make a choice.

If you said,

Check out my webpage,

You might as well have said,

Come back to my house because it's a command.

Versus,

Do you like my sweater?

Or do you like my voice?

Your brain automatically answers and therefore you're much more likely to act.

And that's what we want people to do.

We want people to act when we pitch them or ask them something.

So any request you make,

Make sure that you're really clear on what it is you want.

What's the opportunity or the win-win for you and for them and go ahead and express that.

People love to know that not only they're getting something out of this,

But that you are too.

So make sure you're being really clear what the win-win situation is for you and for them and then make that yes or no request.

So get clear on what you're offering,

How you are an opportunity for them because you are.

Go ask for something that if you were to get a yes is going to move you forward.

And by the end of the day you're going to look back and say,

Oh,

That was very,

Very productive of me.

Go me.

Tomorrow is our last day in the series and we're going to talk about connecting.

So I wish you a very peaceful and productive rest of your day while you go out and campaign.
