Your mind doesn't just switch off at bedtime.
It often gets louder.
Replaying the day.
And previewing tomorrow.
That's normal.
That's what minds do when the body finally stops moving.
This meditation isn't about fighting that noise or forcing focus.
It's about giving your mind somewhere calm to land instead.
As you follow your breath and let your body settle.
Your nervous system shifts out of that wired reviewing state and into rest.
This is why what you hear at bedtime matters.
When the mind is settled,
It's more open to suggestion.
The words you take in now settle in deeper.
This is your time,
Your time for change.
Return to this meditation every night for 28 days.
Let it become a part of your rhythm.
Now,
Get comfortable and let's begin.
As your head finds the pillow,
Your eyes effortlessly drift closed.
You relax easy,
Knowing you are fully supported and held for the next while.
You notice the gentle rhythm of your breath rising and falling in your abdomen.
You are calm.
You are relaxed.
Your mind is at ease.
With a breath in and out,
You settle any unnecessary movements and your body relaxes into stillness.
Another breath,
And the rhythm of the soft inhale and exhale through your nose slows even more.
With your next breath,
You extend the exhale,
Slipping deeper and deeper.
Into rest.
Your body relaxes.
Muscles soften and let go.
Your mind releases.
Forgiving the day's judgments and mistakes.
Without effort,
You let go of mental activity,
Congestion,
And processing from the day.
And trust the rhythm of rest to do the integration for you.
You are calm.
You are relaxed.
Your mind is at ease.
You fall asleep quickly and easily.
And sleep soundly through the night.
Waking only in the morning after a full night's sleep.
Feeling refreshed,
Energized,
And ready to flow with the day.
But for now.
And for the next long while,
You rest.
You reset.
Dreaming only the sweetest dreams while your body recharges itself.
The rhythm of rest is as important as the rhythm of activity.
You know this and honor your innate rhythmic nature.
By surrendering to sleep.
Peaceful Restful.
Sleep.
You are calm.
You are relaxed.
Your mind is at ease.
You are now closer and closer to sleep.
Drifting deeper and deeper inward.
A settled,
Easeful,
Dreamlike state overwhelms you.
And you give in to sleep.
You are relaxed.
You are calm.
Your mind is at ease.
Rest easy,
My friend,
And return again tomorrow night.
