Hi and welcome.

Thank you for joining me for this guided meditation focused on divorce.

So find a position that is comfortable for you.

Allow your body to relax and feel supported by the surface beneath it.

If it feels safe for you to close your eyes or gently soften your gaze,

Please feel free to do so.

Begin by taking a nice deep breath in,

Allowing your lungs to fully expand,

And then take a nice slow,

Deep exhale,

Releasing tension and stress.

With each breath,

Grounding yourself deeper in the present moment,

Giving yourself permission to arrive here fully.

Divorce is a significant life transition,

And we're here to honor the feelings that arise during this time.

Let's take a moment to breathe,

To reflect,

And to create space for healing to begin.

So bring your awareness to the shift in your life that this divorce represents.

Feeling the emotions that are arising.

Perhaps it's a combination of sadness,

Confusion,

Anger,

Fear,

Or perhaps relief.

There's no need to judge or suppress these feelings.

Simply acknowledging them without judgment,

Without a need to change or fix.

Just let them flow through you without holding onto them.

It is a very natural part of the divorce process to feel a wide range of emotions.

So allow yourself to feel these emotions fully,

Without shame or guilt.

Just noticing what's here and feeling yourself breathing in and breathing out.

Now gently bring your attention to the relationship.

Visualize it as an image in your mind and see your past together.

The good moments,

The challenges,

And all of the experiences that have led you here.

And then just acknowledge that it's okay to let go of the past.

It no longer serves you.

You are strong and resilient and you are ready to move forward.

So I'm sharing with you some words from the beautiful poet Donna Folds from her poem,

Let Go.

Let go of the need to know.

Let go of the plans you've made,

The life you've envisioned.

Let go of the person you think you are.

Let go of the image of how things should be.

Let go and let the current carry you to the place where your life unfolds in perfect timing.

Let go of the past,

The grief,

And the fear of the future,

And you will find freedom in the now.

Now just imagine a soft,

Warm,

Golden light surrounding the memory of the relationship.

And as this light touches and wraps around the memory,

Feel it dissolving any lingering pain,

Resentment,

Fear,

Or attachment.

With each exhale,

Imagine releasing what you no longer need,

Breathing out any heavy emotions,

And allowing space for healing to take place.

Now bring your awareness to your heart,

And if it feels right for you,

Place a hand gently on your chest and feel the warmth of your touch.

Send yourself kindness,

Compassion,

Understanding.

Remind yourself that you are worthy of happiness and peace,

No matter the circumstances of your divorce.

You are enough just as you are.

You are whole,

And it is okay to take the time that you need to heal and rebuild your life.

Be gentle with yourself.

You've been through a lot,

And you deserve care,

Happiness,

And kindness.

Now imagine the life ahead of you.

Visualize your empowered future self,

Strong,

Confident,

And at peace.

See yourself stepping into this new chapter of your life with clarity and purpose and intention.

This is a time of new beginnings,

And you are fully capable of creating the life that you want and deserve,

The life filled with love and joy and peace and freedom.

Take a moment to affirm to yourself,

I am ready for a new future.

I am open to new possibilities.

I am strong and resilient,

And I am worthy of happiness and love.

You can begin to deepen your breath,

Bringing your awareness back to your body and to your surroundings.

As you inhale,

Imagine breathing in this new life.

As you exhale,

Letting go of any remaining tension,

Negativity,

Or fear.

You can bring some movement back into your body,

Wiggling fingers and toes and taking a nice stretch.

Blinking your eyes open when you're ready,

And give yourself permission to carry the sense of peace,

Love,

And self-compassion with you as you continue on your journey.

Wishing you well.
