Hello and welcome to morning is-ness.
Today we will be starting our day coming into the heart,
Coming into your pure consciousness,
Your neutrality,
Or your is-ness.
You could say really coming into that connection where you feel yourself as consciousness,
As an expression of the universe,
The I am that I am or all that is.
Truly when you set aside the personality,
The stories,
The thoughts,
The narratives,
And all of the past and future and come into a state of is-ness,
You can flow through your day with so much more ease and grace.
And when you are in this state of neutrality,
Let's just say that everyone is considered a friend that you can much more easily see and feel the beauty,
The aliveness in life and everything around you.
Begin by getting good and comfortable.
Close your eyes,
Wiggle a bit,
Make sure that you are ready to relax.
Take a few deep breaths all the way down deep into your belly,
Feeling all the way up.
And then as you exhale,
Just settle deeply into yourself.
Allow yourself to relax and surrender into your body.
And begin to feel your breath ebb and flow.
Let the body breathe for you here.
So in our state of is-ness,
There's no control,
No agenda,
No certain way things need to be.
So just watch how the body breathes.
We are starting to disengage.
We'll say dis-identify with the body,
Watching the rise and fall of your belly,
The rise and fall of your chest,
And simply feeling the sensations that belong to the body.
As you do this,
Remembering that emotions that pass through belong to the body and mind as you are the awareness,
The essence,
The thoughts,
The stories,
The narratives,
The feelings,
The sensations all belong to the body and mind.
Not to be confused with yourself as the consciousness.
Allow yourself to relax more deeply into your body,
Or it is your tool.
And it is so important for you to become best friends with this beautiful vehicle to take you wherever it is you go for your day.
So feel that breath,
Feel even that gratitude for the miracle of this body.
Although we are not the body or the mind,
Let's honor how amazing and important they are for our journey.
Let your body continue to relax all on its own.
Become aware of what your eyes see behind the eyelids.
Become aware of the sounds,
The room temperature,
Any smells in the air,
The weight of your body,
Even the tiny little hairs on your face and hands.
Because you are aware of the body so present.
Yesterday,
Last week,
Last month does not exist.
It is simply an ideal.
It is nothing more than an idea in your mind.
Allow it to drop away.
Much like tomorrow,
Next week,
Next year,
It does not exist.
Allow it to drop away for it is truly only a concept.
Feeling your awareness and your presence growing right now,
Knowing that everything truly is here and now.
It is all that exists.
In this space,
In your isness,
Your true essence,
Let's have no opinions.
Nothing is right.
Nothing is wrong.
Nothing is good.
Nothing is bad.
Not even your thoughts.
As thoughts pass by,
Let them just be a thought.
Nothing to do with you.
The only thing that exists right here,
Right now is your awareness,
Your body and your mind.
With your eyes shut,
The whole world ceases to exist.
Let's let your body be nothing more than cells,
Particles,
Molecules,
Processes.
You are not even male or female.
You are not big or small.
You have no parents.
You have no children.
You have no siblings.
The body does.
Feel yourself now as one point of spacious awareness.
An open awareness that allows other people's thoughts and opinions,
As well as your own,
To pass through without any need to engage,
Judge,
Analyze,
Even with your own thoughts,
Allowing them to arise and dissolve without any interpretation,
Allowing emotions to arise and fade with no need to interpret,
Analyze,
Label or define.
If it helps,
You can imagine yourself as pure light radiating through this body rather than being identified with your body and your mind.
Perhaps just imagine yourself as particles of light that are animating a body,
That are expanded beyond body and even better yet that are expanded beyond your body,
The room,
The city,
The town,
The planet,
Particles of light that expand infinitely,
Boundless,
Isness,
Feeling yourself as all that is.
As you move throughout your day in this state,
We'll call it your natural state of isness,
Absent of judgment,
Absent of even opinions,
Absent of the need to label,
Define,
Analyze,
Figure out or engage with thoughts or emotions.
You may find that the mind is tempted to hook into things to judge,
To make things good or bad,
Right or wrong.
And when you do this,
A mantra that I find helpful is,
It just is,
Just is.
Every time the mind wants to hook in,
Wants to analyze,
Even with your own thoughts,
Why did I think this?
Where did this thought come from?
Is this mine?
This is a good thought.
This is a bad thought.
Oh,
These thoughts.
If you need a mantra,
Just is,
Just is,
Just is,
It just is.
As you practice coming into this space of isness,
We'll say connecting with your true essence,
Your true sense of beingness beyond thought,
Beyond emotion,
Beyond form,
You'll find it easier and easier to stay in this space.
And it doesn't mean that you can't engage and talk and act and interact.
It just means that you will have no conflicts and no battles throughout your day.
When everything just is,
Life can flow smoothly and freely.
And your natural lightness,
Expansiveness and innate joyfulness can grow and grow and grow all on its own.
