Welcome to my Sharper Meditation for Healing.
Come to lay on your back.
Take a moment to scan your body,
Making adjustments where necessary,
Ensuring you're as comfortable as you can be.
Just for now,
Without effort,
Come into complete stillness.
Leave all of your worries,
Anxieties and judgments behind.
Be as still as you can,
So you can receive the maximum benefit of the meditation and its healing properties.
This is your time,
Your meditation practice.
Tune into your breath.
Notice the tone of your breath,
The shape of your breath.
Is it smooth,
Jagged,
Racy?
Don't judge,
Just notice.
Now tune into your mind.
Notice what is coming up for you.
Again,
Don't judge,
Just notice.
Be aware of your thoughts.
You may like to say to yourself,
My mind is calm,
Or my mind is busy.
This is the first act of awareness,
Noticing or witnessing your thoughts.
Thoughts are like dreams.
They are no more real than they are unreal.
Be still now and sink into the mat for deep healing.
Inhale through your toes all the way up your spine to the crown of your head.
Then exhale down the front of your body all the way to your toes.
Deep slow inhalation from your toes all the way up your spine to the crown of the head.
Then exhale down the front of your body all the way out to your feet.
One more time,
Inhaling through your toes all the way up your spine to the crown of the head.
Then exhale down the front of your body all the way to your feet.
You may like to exhale through your mouth.
Slowly take your time and allow your breath to settle.
Now take your awareness to the place between your sit bones.
Your root chakra,
Mooladhara.
This is your root connection to the earth,
To your ancestry.
Your root chakra is responsible for your feeling of security,
Safety,
Stability and belonging.
Balancing your root chakra is the gateway to all other chakras.
The colour is red and the sound is long.
Breathe into the root chakra,
Perhaps repeating the mantra long in your head.
Feel your deep connection to the earth and the groundedness this chakra offers.
Imagine the colour red spinning like a disc or wheel at the base of your spine.
Feel the opening of the two base vertebrae.
Slowly move your awareness to the area above the pubic bone and below the navel.
You can place your hands here.
This chakra known as Svaadhasana is governed by water.
This is your place of creativity and sexuality.
A place to honour your worth and your worth.
A place to honour your body and its ability to create.
Whether or not you have created life,
Creating can come from other forms such as cooking or art.
Breathe into this space and visualise the colour orange.
Chant in your head the mantra of harmony and allow the vibrations of the mantra to spin the orange coloured wheel and open the chakra.
You may feel sensations of joy,
Abundance or deep pleasure.
Now bring your awareness to your solar plexus,
The Manipura chakra.
The solar plexus is located roughly below your ribcage and above your navel.
Just where the sternum meets and the diaphragm.
The word Manipura means illustrious gem.
This is our source of personal power.
Manipura also controls digestion.
It's the space where self esteem resides.
Our sense of confidence,
Our gut feeling arises from this place.
Imagine a wheel of gold or yellow light spinning and chant the mantra Ram,
Ram,
Ram.
Imagine as the wheel spins an energetic boost to your liver,
Pancreas and spleen.
Feel your connection to the universe from this place.
Gently move your attention to your heart space.
In yogic tradition the heart space is known as Anahata and is located at the centre of the chest.
Place your hands here and breathe into your hands.
Allow all sensation just as it is.
This chakra rules your lymphatic system.
You might like to imagine a wheel of green or rose pink light spinning and replenishing,
Flushing your lymphatic system.
Feel the love and compassion for every living creature.
Now feel that same love and compassion for yourself.
The mantra of the heart is Yam.
So go ahead and repeat the mantra Yam,
Yam,
Yam,
Yam.
The heart can also hold grief so this time to release the grip of grief on your heart.
Soften the shoulders,
Soften your belly and mount your heart.
Each breath allow the heart to soften evenly.
Now notice the notch at the base of your throat.
The throat chakra,
The sugar.
It represents your ability to speak your truth,
Your originality.
This truth is spoken through real knowledge.
Not knowledge gained by this perception or family culture.
It's about telling people what they want to hear at your expense.
With both compassion and tact you're able to speak your truth and communicate what is right for you and you only.
When you speak,
You speak from your highest self.
Clearing this chakra helps you to step into your personal power.
Imagine a spinning blue wheel and repeat the mantra Ham,
Ham,
Ham.
With compassion ask yourself,
Is it true?
Does it need to be said?
And is it kind?
Slowly make your way to your side and rest here for a moment.
Allowing your parasympathetic nervous system to switch to the sympathetic nervous system.
And when you are ready,
With your eyes closed or soft,
Keep the calm you have cultivated and come to a comfortable seated position.
Now bring your attention to the sixth chakra,
The Ajna chakra at the third eye.
Your pituitary gland controls your intuition.
Ajna means beyond the eyes.
This innate wisdom will guide you and navigate you through life if only you will allow it.
Imagine a small pendulum,
Shape,
Swing gently rocking backward and forward at your third eye.
You may like to imagine the colour smoky grey or violet.
The mantra here is Sham,
Sham,
Sham.
Tapping into this space can stimulate lucid dreaming,
Expand your imagination and assist with visualisations.
Sham,
Sham,
Sham.
Sham,
Sham,
Sham.
Now inhale all the way from the base of your seat to the crown of your head and connect to the divine two Saraswara.
Exhale.
Known as a thousand petal lotus,
This chakra is our source to enlightenment.
It has our connection to spiritual self and every other living being on this planet and the universe.
Opening Saraswara brings the realisation that you are pure awareness,
Pure consciousness,
Undivided and expansive.
In Yogic tradition they believe the lotus can only bloom when the roots have been steeped in muck.
This is a metaphor for our journey through the chakras.
As they clear out the muck,
This magnificent radius,
Lotus blooms with all of its glory.
Through opening the chakra you will be capable of both giving and receiving unconditional love.
Imagine violet or white light streaming from the sky filling your whole body,
Drenching you in light.
Imagine this light reaching back towards the sky,
Connecting you to the universal love.
For that is what you are.
The mantra for Saraswara is Om.
Om.
Allow the mantra Om to resonate through your whole being.
Feel the energy reverberating out beyond your body to the room,
Beyond the room,
Beyond the stratosphere,
Beyond the universe.
Om.
Om.
Om.
Your chakra meditation is now complete.
You may like to stay in seated meditation.
Focusing your attention on the Om.
Hari Om Tatsat.
Hari Om Tatsat.
All that is truth.
All that is truth.
All that is truth.
All that is truth.
Thank you.
Thank you.
