Today we are going to feel into the abundance in our lives by meditating for a little longer than we normally do.
We're going to meditate for seven minutes today.
I'll use the singing bowl but no words so you can go into your own mind,
Body,
And spirit.
Quick story first before we get settled.
When I was writing my dissertation I was working with a very famous,
Very brilliant scholar who broke open my mind in a good way.
And this allowed me to think and write in new ways about collective trauma.
One day I was on the phone with her and she was giving me feedback on one of the chapters.
She said,
Here you say something about women's bodies and spirits.
And I was like,
Yeah,
So?
Not really.
I was actually very meek and respectful back then.
And she said,
Well when you use the word spirits in plural it's like they exist.
And I laughed.
I really did out loud.
That's the point of the whole chapter,
I said to her.
That women have been conditioned to separate our bodies and spirits.
And that yes,
Our spirits do indeed exist and are connected to our bodies.
That little S of spirits got left in the dissertation.
And by the time it became a book no one even noticed the S anymore.
Because times move along and it's important for you to say what you have to say when you want to say it.
Sometimes one letter can make a world of difference.
One letter might change the world.
Okay,
So story time is over.
Let's meditate now.
Settle in.
Connect with your breath.
And we'll begin.
Settle in.
Settle in.
Settle in.
Settle in.
Settle in.
Settle in.
Settle in.
Settle in.
GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG From this place of deep abundance,
Gently turn to your journal.
We'll write in response to four questions for two minutes each.
Let the pen flow across the page.
Knowing that with this timed writing you can dive in deeply with less fear.
Knowing we'll come back up together quickly.
Knowing that there's always more to say.
But from a place of abundance,
You can write with a sense of enoughness.
Pretend your body is a tree.
What wisdom does she hold in her roots?
Write about this now.
GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG GONG Good.
Finish the phrase that you're writing now.
Think of your mind as a cloud.
What new thoughts about yourself are raining down?
GONG GONG GONG.
