Good morning.
This is a meditation to help give you energy,
Help you get out of bed in the morning.
I would like to invite you to find a comfortable seat.
If you're lying down in bed,
Gently sit up,
Take some time to get settled in.
Rest your feet on the floor.
Connect with the earth.
And if it feels good for you,
Maybe just closing down in your eyes,
Letting your body settle into this moment,
Allowing your body to settle into a new day.
Before you start thinking about all the things that need to get done about getting out of bed,
About what you're doing next.
Just give your brain a rest.
Concentrate on the sensation of your feet on the floor.
Beautiful.
Now,
Take a moment to just make any last adjustments that you need to moving around.
And we'll begin the breathwork meditation exercise.
We'll be doing the breath of fire today.
That is done all through the nose.
Inhale and forced exhale.
And the exhale is going to be forced.
Make sure you're snapping your belly on the exhale the inhale will be more passive it'll sound like this.
And we're also going to add some movement with our hands if that feels good for you if it doesn't this breath will work just fine.
On the inhale you're going to bring your hands up,
Reach them up over your head.
And on the exhale you'll drop your elbows back down to your shoulders.
So on the inhale,
Hands will go up.
Exhale,
Your elbows will drop to your shoulders.
All right,
I will guide you through this breath just listen to the sound of my voice.
Here we go,
Inhale in sharp exhale.
Remembering to move those arms up on the inhale drop them down on the exhale,
Going at a pace that feels good for your body,
Knowing that you can speed up the breath or slow it down.
Beautiful job.
Knowing that any sensations you're feeling are perfectly safe.
Any emotions that may be coming up are safe.
Repeating to yourself,
I am awake.
I am here.
Beautiful now on your next inhaler you're going to take a deep breath in and just hold it at the top,
As long as you can,
Allowing energy to move through your body,
Allowing your body to feel energized.
And just letting go of that breath whenever you're ready,
Releasing maybe with a sound.
And we'll begin again with the breath of fire.
Ready,
Inhale in.
I am awake,
I am ready for the day.
Beautiful job.
Keep going about 10 more seconds of this breath and we'll go into another top holes.
Moving those arms.
All right,
On your next inhale you're going to hold your breath at the top,
Holding on as long as it feels good for your body.
Maybe relaxing your shoulders down,
Relaxing your throat.
And releasing that breath with a sound.
Beautiful.
We'll go into one last round.
Taking a moment here just to notice how you feel now.
Maybe putting your hand over your heart just connecting with your heart.
Feeling the beats of your heart this beautiful morning.
All right,
And we'll continue that pattern one last time beginning again with the breath of fire,
Moving those arms.
Beautiful job.
I'm awake.
I'm ready to start my day.
Beautiful.
Taking down the breath if you need.
And we'll come into one last top hold taking a deep inhale in through the nose.
This time try holding on a little bit longer than before.
Relaxing your shoulders down,
Trying to relax your stomach.
Feeling back into that connection with the earth.
Just sitting here momentarily with your breath.
Try holding on for 10 more seconds.
Just relaxing if you need.
And exhaling it out maybe shaking your hands,
Moving your body,
Side to side,
Whatever feels good.
And we'll connect back in.
Maybe placing a hand over your heart,
A hand over your belly.
Just sitting here for a moment feeling the aliveness feeling all of this energy that you generated all with your breath.
Maybe cracking a slight smile.
And just thinking yourself for showing up to this practice today for wanting to start your day in a different way.
Eyes still closed will connect back into our space.
Maybe just noticing the weight of the body on the surface beneath you,
Noticing your feet on the earth.
And we'll take one last inhale together breathing in through the nose.
Exhaling through the mouth.
Beautiful.
And just gently flutter open your eyes and slowly come back into your space.
So much for doing this meditation with me.
I hope it makes you feel awake and ready to seize the day,
Ready to get through whatever the day throws at you.
Remembering that no matter what happens today,
You can always return back to your breath.
