Hello and thank you for taking time for yourself today.
Today's meditation is all about self-love and giving yourself that sacred time to just be and appreciate the little things in life.
To start this meditation,
I would like for you to take a conscious breath,
Breathing in,
Filling the lungs with fresh air and exhaling,
Letting go of any tenseness in the body,
Finding time to soften your muscles,
Whether you're laying down or sitting.
If you're not using the muscles,
Relax them,
Starting with your face,
Your shoulders,
Your upper back and your lower back,
Feeling yourself grounding with the earth below you,
Feeling your connection to all,
Taking deep breaths in and nice long exhales out.
Continue breathing at your own pace,
But be aware of your breath.
Are you breathing in deeply or are you breathing in short?
Doesn't matter what kind of breath you are taking,
Just the fact that you're aware of your breath is amazing and it's a good start.
So good job and thank you for showing up.
I want to talk to you today about self-love and self-care.
We are all here in these temporary bodies and it feels so good to give yourself that loving kindness and attention that we give to others.
Taking time to brew yourself a cup of tea and sit and watch the sunset or sunrise is so fulfilling and easy to do.
What do you do for yourself,
Care and your self-love?
What are ways that you pamper yourself or just take time for yourself?
Think of the things that you do and if you haven't established a self-care routine yet,
Think of what makes you feel good and what gives you a sense of stability and inner peace.
Remembering your breath,
Taking a deep breath in,
Filling your lungs with air and exhaling.
Sometimes we get busy and we forget about ourselves and I want you to apologize to yourself and know that it's not your fault and that life can be full of distractions.
But just you showing up today for this simple meditation is a sign that you're on the right track.
Give yourself a nice hug,
Wrapping your arms around your own shoulders and squeezing gently.
Self-care is as simple as a hug to oneself.
It doesn't have to take up a lot of time,
It doesn't have to be expensive,
It can be a simple embrace that allows you to communicate with your own body that you are loved.
We're going to take a few more breaths and I want you to start becoming aware of the sounds around you.
Can you hear the trees dancing in the wind?
Is the sun shining on your face?
Can you feel the earth underneath you?
Take time to become aware of your surroundings and when you hear the bell,
The meditation will be over.
I encourage you after this meditation to do one act of self-love for yourself.
Let's take a few more breaths.
The bell is invited.
