Welcome back to another meditation.

Today we're going to be focusing on our mental health.

To begin the meditation,

Please choose a position,

Either laying down or sitting tall with your back straight.

Sitting in a chair with an alert or comfortable posture is also possible.

Back straight,

Hands resting in your lap and feet flat on the floor.

Make sure that you're balanced and not straining.

Loosen any tight clothing and close your eyes.

Notice the stillness of your body,

Relaxing your stomach,

Chest,

Your shoulders and begin to focus on your breath.

Breathe in deeply through the nose,

Allowing the air to flow down your diaphragm and then release.

Repeat the breath,

Allowing the air to gently flow through.

Notice a sense of calm as you breathe out.

Take another deep breath in,

Allowing the air to gently flow through.

And exhale,

Noticing how your body is beginning to feel lighter.

Release tension and stress as you gradually find a comfortable rhythm for breathing.

As you breathe in and out,

Notice any thoughts or feelings that you have.

And if you tend to stray and you follow those thoughts down the rabbit hole,

Center yourself with another deep breath in.

Beautiful.

Meditation is our tool to becoming aware and with awareness comes consciousness.

Even if sometimes we get lost in the rabbit hole of thoughts,

By using our breath we navigate back to our center with the intention of clearing the mind and being in the present moment,

Here and now with our breath.

Our mind likes to worry about the future or about the past and it's normal for the mind to wander.

If you have any feelings or thoughts that might be distressing,

Do your best to just observe and not to judge these thoughts.

Allow them to come in and out just like your breath.

Notice the sounds around you in the room.

Your heart beating.

Any smells that might be around you.

Become aware of what's going on.

Take another deep breath in.

And exhale out any stress or tension,

Anything that doesn't serve you.

And I want you to set an intention.

What is something that you can do for yourself today that will help you with your mental health?

It can be anything that makes you feel relaxed and at ease.

Self-care is so important.

You can take a bubble bath or read your favorite book,

Listen to your favorite songs,

Sing,

Take a nice long hot shower,

Clean your room.

The list goes on,

But set an intention to do something for yourself that is nurturing and gives you the sense of relaxation and peace.

Once you've found something that you would like to do,

I want you to take another deep breath in.

Bringing that sense of peace into the body and releasing,

Exhaling out anything that doesn't serve you.

And when you're ready,

Wiggle your fingers back and forth.

Wiggle your toes,

Reconnect with the present moment,

With the here and now in your body.

And open your eyes.

Give yourself a big hug by putting your arms around your shoulders,

Giving yourself a gentle squeeze and thanking yourself for showing up for this meditation today.

I wish you an amazing day.

Thank you for being a part of this beautiful life.

Blessings.
