For this meditation,
The posture,
I want you to imagine yourself with supreme confidence and have your posture vibrate that.
Just be the confident you.
Now this meditation practice will be a practice of that.
Can we maintain that confidence?
Can we hold that?
By practicing it,
Just sitting confidently,
We can take that out into the world with us.
So with that posture,
Firm,
Alert,
Confident,
Start to check in,
Drop in to the space of the heart.
With a confident posture,
Our chest is open,
Our heart is exposed and vulnerable.
This is why true confidence comes from within.
It's exuded out.
So we practice bringing that inner confidence to allow us to open up our heart,
To stand strong.
And now we do a scan,
An emotional scan.
Just checking in with whatever emotions may be lingering,
May be carrying with us.
Maybe we haven't had a chance to process,
Release.
We all carry a little bit of extra emotions that we haven't had a chance to release and this is that practice to take the time.
Holding that posture,
Confident,
Strong.
And if you notice any sensations,
Any feelings,
Just breathe into it.
Just do your best to let a little bit of it go with the exhale.
Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.
The true power and true confidence lies in our ability to feel emotions and not get swept away by them,
Not react to them.
Allow them to open our heart.
And now we'll practice feeling fear.
While maintaining a confident posture,
Bring to mind maybe a time in the past or maybe a time in the future that causes us to feel fear.
Practice feeling it,
Noticing it on the exhale.
Notice your breath shortens.
You may notice your posture softens,
Weakens.
Practice of awareness is when you notice,
Adjust,
Turning to the practice,
Returning to the breath.
Can you sit and breathe with fear present?
If you notice the fear comes from a certain place in the body or the mind,
Send the breath there on the inhale.
Allow the breath to purify.
Let it go with the exhale,
Releasing a little bit more.
Deepening the breath a little bit more now.
Checking back in with the posture.
For being fearless,
It's not having an absence of fear.
Fearlessness is feeling the fear.
And moving forward anyways.
As you return to your awareness and your posture,
A confident posture,
You can meet fear with confidence.
So with each breath in now,
I want you to imagine the breath feeds the confidence,
Nourishes it,
It activates it.
And with each exhale,
I'm going to release a little bit of that fear.
Breathing the confidence in,
Expanding it.
Exhaling,
Releasing the fear that holds you back.
Meeting it with the confidence on the inhale.
And releasing a little bit more on the exhale.
Feeding the confidence with the breath in.
Shedding the fear at the exhale.
Expanding the confidence.
Shedding the self doubt.
Can you hold confidence while facing fear?
This is our practice.
And again,
If you catch the mind swept away,
Practice letting go.
Breathing in a little bit more confidence.
Feeling confident.
You at your best.
Your own authentic confidence.
Nobody else's confidence.
Just yours.
As we shift away from the fear and we move a little bit more into the confidence.
More clear what that looks like for you.
Adjust your posture.
And practice being confident.
Inhaling.
Exhaling.
Inhaling.
Exhaling.
I invite you to take three big deep inhales.
Take a deep breath in.
Hold at the top.
Adjust the posture.
Exude confidence.
Be confident.
Slowly exhale.
Two more times.
Deep breath in.
Hold at the top.
Open the chest up a little bit more.
Gather that confidence.
And we're going to send out a little bit of the self doubt on the exhale.
Release it.
Last one.
Deepest inhale.
Hold.
Feel confident.
Gather up all that self doubt,
All the insecurities,
All the fears that stand in your way.
And let it out with the exhale.
