If your busy mind has been running the show, it’s never too late to come home to your most grounded self. This is a meditation to find the steadiness that exists right here within your body. Although the body carries holds on to feelings and stressors, it is also your vehicle to presence. This practice will help you find your grounding anchor once again.

Today we remember our inner anchor,

The place of grounding,

The steady space within.

The anchor is a place that tethers us to presence,

So as not to get carried away with the waves of pain or separation.

It will steer you back to calm and forward into the next adventure.

Get comfortable now for a grounding practice.

Enjoy a few cleansing breaths in your nose and out your mouth.

Exhale and arrive.

Exhale and release any beliefs or stories that are holding you together.

Notice the buzz of life within you.

Are there any areas that feel extra sensitive or fidgety?

Observe this buzz without judgment.

Exhale and allow for it all to be.

You can manage what exists within.

Where do you feel anchored?

Take your awareness and let it travel into your entire being.

Where do you feel steady and in your center?

Your anchor might be the heart.

Your anchor might be a pool of calm within.

Your anchor might be a tether between your belly and your heart.

It may be returning to exhale after exhale after exhale.

What if you simply surrendered to this space without getting caught up in the currents of why or of looking for anything in particular?

What if you stayed steady in your center,

In your anchor?

Your anchor is always in your body.

Trying to think your way into it or using the brain to understand it is hopeless.

We must feel presence completely and entirely with every sensation of the body and feel unchanging steadiness within.

The mind has its own old motives to create problems that aren't relevant to the reality of this moment.

Time and time again the anchor within returns us to presence and to a stronger sense of power over the mind and over our old strategies.

We can always pause in our center.

It is your inner anchor that tethers you.

Your anchor might be the heart.

Your anchor might be a pool of calm within.

It may be returning to exhale after exhale after exhale.

We can always pause in our center and if it feels unmanageable to do so,

Can we forgive ourselves for it?

Can we set aside harsh self-criticism?

These are steps forward too.

Our center is forever loving,

Patient,

Strong,

Grounding,

And it waits for us to align with it.

In our center we can rest whenever and however we can rest.

For today,

This is enough.

This is perfect.

I wish you well as you continue practicing out in life.

Connect again soon.

Absolutely amazing. A soothing voice with grounding and moments of true wisdom. Something you said about the mind having its own motives really resonated. x
