Welcome and thank you for honoring yourself by making this time just for you.
To connect with your inner world and to give yourself space to just be.
To relax your mind and rest your body all in this time that you have set aside.
For you.
Allow yourself to start by getting into a comfortable position.
You may be sitting on the floor with your legs crossed or sitting comfortably in a chair or perhaps even lying down supported by pillows.
Whatever position feels comfortable for you today.
Ensuring your spine is straight and supported in its natural curve.
You may like to place your hands beside you with the palms turned upwards or perhaps even in your lap.
If at any point during this meditation you feel the need to readjust your body feel free to do so.
Honouring your body and how it feels today.
Telling you to take the time now to allow yourself to be fully grounded in this present moment.
Feeling the pressure from where you were sitting where your body touches the floor or the chair.
Feeling your body relax into what supports you.
Telling your weight into it.
It can take it.
Allow your body to rest there with your support holding you.
Gently taking a look around the room you're in and noticing your position in the room relative to every other object around you.
Noticing colour,
Light and shade and anything at all that meets your gaze.
Telling with your eyes in this moment.
You may like to take in three slow and deep breaths to your own natural rhythm.
On each in breath notice the air coming into your body filling your lungs and belly nourishing every part of your body.
On each out breath releasing out through the nostrils and noticing the warm air leave the body taking with it any tension you are carrying today.
In and out.
When you are finished taking those deep breaths allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.
Not seeking to control that rhythm.
Simply allowing it to fall into place.
Understanding where in the body you feel the rhythm of the breath the most.
Your upper lip,
Your belly or your nose perhaps.
Bringing that focus to that one point in your body.
You may like this to be your anchor point if at any time during the meditation your mind wanders,
Thoughts filter in.
Simply remember this anchor of noticing the breath at a particular point in your body and gently remind yourself to let those thoughts go and focus on the breath at this point.
Continuing your grounding observations now by gently closing down the eyes or having a soft gaze towards the floor and tuning in to your sense of smell.
Noticing if any fragrance lingers in the air.
Anything you can detect with your nostrils.
It might be subtle or there might be a complete absence of smell.
Perhaps there are tastes in your mouth or textures in your mouth you can explore with your tongue.
Noticing if any tastes linger on the tongue from food you've eaten previously.
Allowing your tongue to explore the ridges of your mouth.
Seeing if you can detect any tastes there.
There may be something or perhaps nothing at all.
Simply aim to be curious with your attention right here and right now.
Ticking into the sounds you can hear,
The sounds within the room that you're in.
Perhaps a clock ticking or the sound of your own breathing.
And any sounds external to the room.
Birds chirping,
Chatter in the distance.
Sound may be subtle or it may be loud.
Letting your ears open to the sound.
Allow it in to rest within your eardrums and wash around you.
Not judging the sound as good or bad.
Simply allowing it to be.
Having observed the outer world around you in this present moment through several of your senses.
Beginning to turn your attention inward to your inner world,
Your body and mind.
Checking in with your body,
Connecting with it now.
Focusing any sensations or emotions that may be present.
Focusing on how your body has arrived in this meditation and how is it feeling.
Your body,
Your rhythm all in this moment.
Feeling to sense your body's energy as it rests here in this moment.
Allowing yourself to almost visually see your body in your mind's eye.
Every part of you that sits here.
Allowing yourself to see a golden stream of healing light hovering above you.
Observing it as it becomes brighter and brighter and as you sit and observe it.
Notice how the golden yellow colour makes you feel warm and energised perhaps,
Happy,
Maybe something else.
Asking if you are entranced,
Whether you can recognise its power to heal or anything else you can observe about the golden light.
The light slowly descends over your head and shoulders as it rests in this area of your body.
Feel its warmth radiate over you.
Radiating and bringing with it the sense of relaxation to every muscle in your face,
Your eyes,
Your nose,
Your mouth,
Your forehead,
The back of your head,
The crown of your head.
The warm glow extending its reach down and around the muscles in your neck and shoulders.
Allowing your shoulders to drop away from your ears.
Dropping any tension and pain that may reside there.
Feeling each pulse of the light as it aims to weave its magic in relaxation.
Feeling each pulse of the golden light in time with the rhythm of your natural breathing at this moment.
Now seeing the light descending slowly down,
Down your arms,
Over your torso.
Lighting up your chest and your tummy,
Your arms and your hands.
So bright there is nothing that can resist its power to relax.
Not one muscle in this area of your body.
Again feeling each pulse of the light in tune with the rhythm of your breath.
The light continues to move down the lower parts of your body,
Your hips,
Your buttocks,
Your legs,
From the very top all the way down to the knees,
Down into the ankles,
Flowing into the feet,
Glowing brightly with golden light as each individual muscle feels free to release any last bit of tension you are carrying today.
Feeling open to feeling it just melt away.
Sensing light and warmth,
So much lightness and so much warmth.
Feeling that feeling into your body if it feels right and as you sit in the presence of this feeling of lightness.
You may have sensed parts of your body that felt weary today.
This meditation is a safe space for your mind and body.
Your body can hold both light and dark,
It can be soft or gentle and it can hold pain and flaws.
But within this golden safe light space you can be you ready to accept healing and peace.
The golden light within and around your body glistens and casts a warm,
Comforting shadow.
You can see in your mind's eye your body filled with this light but you also start to see subtle cracks in your light body.
These cracks are where your past hurts,
Disappointment or sadness has left its mark on you,
Much like broken pottery.
You may be able to give each crack a label or a name or a memory.
You know it well one at a time.
Focusing now on any cracks one at a time and as the golden light continues to hover around and within it gets brighter and brighter and it descends and fills in each crack in your light body one by one with luminescent gold so that the golden light no longer seeps through.
The light is now only contained within your body,
Pieced back together like a golden glue.
Using the warmth and inviting healing to take place with this golden light in your whole body now,
Relaxed and free.
Every crack from your head to your torso to the lower half of your body pieced back together.
Using a sense of pride in your body,
The light has not removed the history of your pain and your experience,
It has transformed it into something vibrant,
Beautiful and new.
Focus on that warm energised feeling and the beauty and wonder of the golden light within you as you sit in stillness for a short while now before we return to ground ourselves.
