A Visit To Nature
You will travel in this meditation to a place in nature. A beautiful place where you feel both calm and empowered. This journey will give you the opportunity to release or begin to release what no longer serves you. This is a helpful visualization to let go of a thought, habit or limiting belief.

Welcome to our time together,
I'm really happy to be spending this time with you and to ultimately have some time to go on a journey.
It's really important that you take time to get comfortable,
So let's take this first moment to really pay attention to your physical needs.
Do you wish to be lying down?
Do you wish to be sitting?
Not only is it important for your meditation or visualization practice to be comfortable,
You also deserve comfort.
You deserve the time to feel settled in and held.
So again,
Let's just take a bit of time here to make sure that you have what you need to be warm,
To be comfortable,
To be able to invite in a place of relaxation.
When you feel ready,
Perhaps a few deep breaths or sigh out,
Maybe a little bit of movement with your body,
Shaking,
Sighing,
Releasing.
Your body is so wise,
What does it need right now?
And let's invite your body's wisdom to be really present with us,
So that if you need to shift,
If you need to pause,
If you need to get a little bit more warmth on you or support of some kind,
Just take your time to do that.
And now we'll begin to settle in in a deeper way,
Inviting perhaps deeper breath or slowed down breath,
Something that feels good for you.
Let's invite your muscles to come into a place of softness and really pay attention to any part of your body that's touching your chair or the ground,
The bed or the sofa,
Whatever is holding you.
Start to notice the points of contact as a way to drop into those places.
In other words,
Inviting your body to drop down into what's holding you so that you can begin to let go a bit.
Pausing as we just take this time to begin this invitation to soften,
Settle,
Let go a bit.
I'll invite you now into connecting to some location that you feel particularly comfortable at ease,
Empowered.
This might be the beach,
A lake,
Maybe there's a place that you love to walk,
Maybe it's your backyard,
But thinking of some place in nature that you really love and it's okay for it to be a place you've never physically been.
Maybe you imagine tropical birds or a paradise with waterfalls.
Let's take this next moment to just decide where is the physical location that you'll be journeying to today.
As we continue on our travels together,
Your ultimate destination in nature,
It may change.
Invite the aliveness into your practice.
It's okay for things to change and shift.
At the same time,
We'll start with a potential intention,
Noticing where you might be journeying to today in nature.
Now that we've set this intention,
We're going to spend the next moment visually traveling there.
I invite you to imagine yourself on a beautiful walk or maybe a car ride that's got the perfect music playing,
The perfect amount of sunshine coming in through the window.
Take the next moment in some way,
Walking,
Biking,
Driving,
In some way journeying,
Knowing that you'll be going to a really beautiful place in nature.
As you journey,
Whether you're driving,
Walking,
Biking,
Or something else,
What can you notice?
What do you hear?
What do you see?
What do you sense?
What do you smell?
Take in as much as you can.
And now you find yourself ending your drive or your walk or your bike ride,
You've found yourself at this particularly beautiful location that you love,
That you feel both energized and at peace,
Both calm and empowered.
There's something about this place that everything feels right and aligned for you.
Taking a moment now to be in this space,
Let yourself be in this moment with nature.
What do you see here?
What's the temperature on your skin?
Give yourself the gift of being infused by this magnificent location.
And as you are settling into and being infused by the beauty of where you are,
You suddenly pause,
You realize with great delight that there's something really special here for you in this moment.
You realize you've journeyed here for something quite special and intuitively it arises that this is a moment in time to let go,
To release,
To soften the burden of something you are holding on to.
So we'll take a moment while you're in this beautiful location,
Feeling calm and empowered to reflect upon something you'd like to let go of or even to begin the process of letting go of.
Maybe it's an ongoing thought.
Maybe it's a limiting belief that you have about yourself or your life or your journey.
Maybe it's a habit.
So let's take a few cycles of breath to get clear.
What will you be offering up today that you feel ready or wanting to let go of?
And when you feel clear,
Maybe give that thought or belief or habit,
Give it a shape or a color or words,
Something tangible,
Something tangible that you can imagine holding in your hands.
Maybe it's simply the sentence that is repeated in your own mind,
The belief.
Maybe it's a visual of you with a habit.
So in some way,
Make this tangible.
Visualize it in your mind that you are holding that which you'd like to soften or release in your hands.
As you are in this beautiful place of nature,
You have a wonderful opportunity before you.
Nature is the greatest alchemizer.
Nature can take what you do not need anymore and turn it into something fruitful.
And so there is no worry with whatever you are offering,
It is safe and okay to release it to the water,
To the soil,
To the trees,
To the stars.
And so let's pause with what's being held in your hands.
And as much as you no longer want this,
We also want to understand that every part of ourselves,
Every thought,
Every habit,
Every belief in some way has been here to try to protect us.
Now that part may get too big,
It may get oversized,
It may take on a different energy.
And yet still at its core is a desire for us to be well into what we have and to have what we want.
And so before we offer the release,
Let's take a moment,
A breath or two,
For a bow of gratitude.
Thank you for trying to keep me safe and well.
And now I'm ready for you to be released.
I'm in a space and a place now in my life to begin to move forward without you,
Or perhaps with less of you,
Taking a moment for your own honoring.
And when you feel ready,
Any words that you want to say,
I offer this to nature,
I offer this to that which is greater than myself,
I am ready to release,
I am ready to move forward without what is held in my hands,
Any words.
And then in your own timing,
Your own visualization of you releasing,
Maybe offering it to the ocean,
Maybe taking a swim with it into the ocean,
Burying it into the sand,
Hanging it on a tree,
Take your own time to take a moment for your own personal releasing ritual.
And when you feel ready,
Gratitude to the nature that is holding this and turning this into something good for the world,
For the earth.
Again,
Perhaps a bow of gratitude to the ocean or the tree,
Sky,
Whatever you are connecting with.
And now you take a moment in your mind in this beautiful place to feel the lightness that is you.
Maybe you see yourself dancing or swaying or moving,
Sitting or standing with your face to the sun,
Whatever it is,
Take a moment to feel or sense the embodiment of you without this thought or habit,
Or you with the beginnings of less of this.
When you feel ready,
Perhaps visualizing yourself with a smile at this beautiful place and ready to move forward with happiness or lightness or an even deeper sense of excitement or empowerment.
You visualize yourself leaving and returning the way you came.
And when you return,
You're taking that drive or that bike or that walk or however you traveled,
You're traveling again,
A newer sense of you with a sense of lightness.
And so let's take a moment for you to travel back that bike ride,
That beautiful car ride or walk right back to the moment you find yourself here.
Taking a few cycles of breath to journey,
Noticing what you see,
Sense,
Hear,
Feel.
And when you're ready,
Feel again the connection of your beautiful body nestled into your couch,
Your bed,
The floor,
The chair.
If it feels right to you,
Maybe a hand on heart or belly,
Giving yourself a compassionate reminder.
Maybe a reminder to your body,
I love you and I'm listening.
Maybe a reminder that you have what you need within you.
Maybe a reminder that you are always able to find the support you need at every step of your journey.
Maybe a final smile on your face as you begin to shift back into your day,
Into your evening.
A supportive question in this moment may be,
What do I need right now?
What do I need right now as I continue into my day or move into my night?
Remember that when we give ourself time to pause,
A space and a place for our bodies to relax,
Our mind can travel.
It can travel to a place to bring clarity and insight.
And you can travel back to your place in nature whenever you need to continue the offering.
Maybe it's another layer of what you're letting go of.
Maybe it's something new that you're ready to release.
Let's take a breath together,
Remembering our shared humanity,
That we are connected.
Together we breathe in.
Together we breathe out.
I wish you well.
Be well.
You

Greetings from just north of you. Your meditation was peaceful when I listened outside.
