So just finding your comfortable seat,
Allowing your eyes to close,
Letting your attention turn inside.
Imagining with each breath you can breathe yourself in.
Finding more of you here to this moment.
Letting go of where you've just been,
Or where you're going after this meditation.
And just being here.
Taking a moment to notice the sensations in your body.
Being aware of your posture,
And being aware of your breath.
Feeling the natural flow of each breath.
Seeing to how deep the breath is moving in this moment.
Now just placing one hand on the heart,
Or the centre of the chest.
Feeling the breath moving underneath your hand.
Feeling your awareness moving down from the mind,
And into the heart.
Breathing gently into this space.
Connecting to this space.
Feeling this space.
And this meditation.
In this meditation,
The intention is to deepen our connection to the state of beingness.
The state of being.
This is a place of non-resistance.
This is a place that simply is,
Without anything added or taken away from it.
A state that simply is,
And it's always there.
Now imagining that you're stepping back from the surface.
Stepping back from your surface.
From the skin.
Stepping back deeper within yourself.
Dropping into yourself deeper and deeper.
Letting go of the surface layers.
Dropping deeper and deeper within yourself.
Now you're welcome to keep the hand on the heart,
Or you can lower it down.
I'm going to be repeating very slowly the word aham,
Which is a Sanskrit word which means I am.
I am with nothing after it.
Simply your beingness.
Be repeating it very slowly so that we can feel the experience,
The vibration of the word as we say it.
You're welcome to say it out loud or internally.
Whatever resonates for you.
Aham.
Aham.
Allow yourself to follow the vibration.
Follow the feeling.
Allowing it to take you to your beingness.
Aham.
You're welcome to say it in English,
I am.
I am.
I am.
Drop deeper within yourself.
If the mind is active that's okay.
Being aware of the breath.
And there's no wrong way to do this.
Simply aligning your intention with those words.
Tending to connect to your very beingness.
The part of you that simply is.
No resistance.
No labels.
Just being.
Aham.
Aham.
The thoughts and the feelings,
The external world dance on the surface of this space.
And sometimes our focus is more on these things and that's okay.
But for this meditation we're intending to connect to that place of beingness.
Dropping in below the surface.
Like you're going down from the surface of the ocean where the waves are.
Down to where there's stillness.
And even though there's stillness there's also an energy,
A vibration of beingness.
A live-ness.
Let's breathe into that.
Continuing to repeat aham or I am if you'd like to.
As we advertised the Feeling your breath moving gently in and out.
Maybe you were able to connect to that place easily,
Or maybe it felt challenging and that's okay.
It's a practice and also it may vary depending on what's going on for us in our lives on that particular day or week.
The more we connect into this place,
The more we can allow the waves on the surface to move and flow.
With less resistance,
Being connected to our beingness,
A deeper part of us below the surface.
Allowing the surface movements of thought and feeling to occur.
Before we come out of the meditation,
Imagining that you can keep part of your focus,
Part of your awareness on yourself,
On this deeper part of you,
On your beingness.
Like you have one eye turning in and one eye turning out to the world.
So you're connected to yourself as you go about your day,
Your evening,
Your week,
Knowing you can come back to this practice at any time.
Connecting to your beingness.
Thanks for listening.
Namaste.
