This Vishuddha (Throat) Chakra meditation will support you in balancing the energy of this center. When Vishuddha is out of balance it may be challenging for you to speak your truth, or it may be that you speak often without clarity. In balancing this energy center you'll be able to more confidently express yourself in a clear and succinct way. This meditation includes awareness of breath, visualization, and chanting the Bija Mantra, or seed syllable, HAM.

Hello and welcome to your Vishuddha Chakra meditation.

This meditation is to support you in balancing the energy of the throat chakra.

So I invite you to find a comfortable position either seated or lying down.

Ensuring that you are completely comfortable and won't be interrupted for a little while.

Gently inviting your eyes to close if you are comfortable doing so.

And if not that's perfectly okay.

Simply allow them to soften and gaze at something that won't be distracting to you.

Begin by witnessing your breath.

Noticing the rise and the fall of the chest in its natural rhythm.

Allowing yourself to simply observe your breath for a few moments.

If you begin to notice your mind wandering or at any time it begins to wander during this meditation that's okay.

Gently guide your awareness back to the sound of my voice when you remember.

Allowing the thoughts to flow through your awareness without attaching to them just as clouds float across the sky.

Now I invite you to deepen your breath.

Feeling the rise of the abdomen and the expansion of the chest on your inhale.

And on the exhale the breath releases from the chest and then from your abdomen.

Follow this deepening of the breath for two more full cycles of inhale and exhale.

Now guide your awareness to the root of your being,

The Muladhara Chakra at the base of the spine.

Envision the tiny ball of red energy spinning here at the base of your spine.

And as you continue to breathe you become aware of this energy moving.

This energy begins to move up into your lower abdomen,

The Svaadhisthana Chakra where you envision the tiny spinning ball of orange energy rising.

And as you continue to breathe this energy moves up into the Manipura Chakra at the solar plexus just above the navel.

Glowing brightly this yellow energy ignites your power and your will.

Continuing to breathe as your energy continues to rise now up and into the center of your chest,

The heart space on a Hatha Chakra with its glowing green ball of energy filling your chest,

Your back and your arms.

These glowing spinning balls of energy in red and orange,

Yellow and green continue to grow and rise up through your body expanding and moving energy up towards the throat.

Bringing your awareness now to the Bhushuddha,

Your throat chakra that lives at the base of your throat.

Observe its tiny blue light glowing and spinning here.

With each breath allow this blue light to grow and expand first into the hole of your neck expanding to envelop your mouth,

Your jaw,

Ears and entire head.

Continuing to breathe deeply and expand this blue light through your entire body filling you up with the energy of your truth and your right for this truth to be expressed and heard.

This glowing blue light that fills your entire being continues to expand beyond the boundaries of your physical body to hold you within a bubble of this glowing blue light of energy.

Within this bubble you feel the power of your voice,

The truth of your message,

The validation of being heard.

Allow yourself to hold this blue light around you as you breathe deeply enjoying the connection to your throat chakra,

The connection to your message,

The permission to use your voice to express yourself truthfully and the validation of using your voice and being heard.

Now guide your awareness back to this glowing healing blue light at the base of your throat.

As you breathe expand this blue light to encompass your throat with blissful light both internally and externally.

Illuminate the voice box,

The thyroid and the whole of the neck.

Breathe this light into the mouth to envelop the teeth,

Tongue and lips.

And as you breathe the light expands to your ears internally and externally,

Awakening your ability to listen actively and wholly.

This glowing blue light heals all of these areas as it washes over them.

Blue fibers of light gliding over and around the throat strengthening your voice.

Allow your breath to flow in and out naturally In just a moment I will guide you through a few slower breaths as we prepare to chant the seed syllable pum.

You may choose to chant this silently,

Whisper it or chant it aloud.

All of these options ignite the power of the voice and will continue to support the healing nature of the chants.

Hum resonates with the throat chakra awakening and strengthening it.

As you breathe draw the breath into your abdomen.

We'll move through three deep breaths.

Prior to beginning the chant.

Inhaling deeply and exhaling completely.

Inhaling deeply exhaling completely inhaling deeply and exhaling completely.

And exhaling completely.

Now inhale to receive the breath.

Inhale to receive the breath.

Hum Last time inhaling to receive the breath.

Hum Now guide your breath back to its natural rhythm.

With the glowing blue light still surrounding you,

Observe the sensations of your throat chakra.

Your voice and all the areas in the throat absorbed and glowing with this blue light awakened.

Quietly or to yourself I invite you to really repeat the following affirmations.

I speak my truth with clarity.

My voice is valuable.

I express myself freely.

I live authentically.

I invite you to spend a couple of moments here in silence as you continue to keep this healing light energy expanding and brightening at your throat chakra.

Gently begin to guide your awareness back into the present moment.

Begin by deepening the breath,

Feeling the abdomen rise and fall with the inhales and the exhales.

Feel the support of the floor beneath you,

Noticing each place where your body meets the mat.

And guiding your breath to those areas.

With your eyes gently closed or softened,

Begin to be aware of the space surrounding you.

The walls,

Windows,

Doors,

And ceiling.

Notice the sounds you hear near and far.

Notice the temperature of the air around you.

And gently begin to wiggle your fingers and toes returning the energy to the physical body.

Maybe stretching your arms overhead and your legs out long.

If you are lying down,

Rolling gently to one side and resting here for a moment.

And breathe before using the strength of your arms to lift yourself back up to seated.

Gently massaging your legs and feet,

Further guiding your awareness back into the body and grounding your body in the present moment.

Whenever you are ready,

I invite you to flutter your eyes open and observe this physical space you are in.

Further allowing your awareness to orient to the present moments.

Take your time before moving on with your day.

I encourage you to take some time to observe the sensations in your body.

The sensations in your throat.

And journaling about what you're experiencing and how you wish to continue to strengthen your voice.

It's been a pleasure to guide you along this meditation practice today.

Namaste.

Thank you for this beautiful lesson. I had forgotten how to connect my throat to channel again.
