In a recent coaching session,
I was asked,
Kara,
Is it mind-body or is it body-mind?
Do you listen to your body first and all the physical messages and sensations coming through?
Or is it your mind and your thoughts that create your reality?
My snarky answer to her was yes.
Welcome to your Daily Whisper.
I'm Kara Bradley bringing you this series on mind-body,
Body-mind communication.
My answer to my client was yes,
Because it is.
It's everything.
It all matters.
What our body's telling us in any given moment about how we're showing up and what our thoughts are creating in how we're showing up.
The bottom line is,
My friend,
How you show up moment-to-moment is incredibly important.
In any given moment,
You're either fully present,
Engaged,
Or as I like to say,
Strong,
Calm and clear,
Or you may be showing up busy,
Speedy,
Unsteady,
Unstable.
To understand how you're showing up in any given moment,
You need to be aware.
To build awareness,
You need to be more mindful.
To be more mindful,
You need mindfulness or mind-body,
Body-mind practices.
You see,
Mindfulness is not an afterthought.
It's not a nice-to-do.
It's a have-to-do.
It's not something you do every once in a while,
Take a couple of breaths,
Do a little short meditation,
Listen to some music.
Mindfulness is something you do all the time,
Because how you show up in any given moment matters a lot.
It matters for your health.
It matters for your family.
It matters in your work.
Mindfulness is not trivial,
My friend.
So practice some today.
Notice how you're showing up today.
If you need some support,
I'm here for you.
This is what I do.
This is my passion.
Mind-body,
Body-mind training.
So I've got a link in the show notes with my beginner mindfulness series.
It's free.
It's three parts.
Take a look.
Reach out.
Let me know how I can support you.
And just remember,
Mindfulness is not trivial.
How you show up right now in body and in mind matters a lot.
So if this was helpful,
Please share it with a friend.
You never know who might need to hear one of these whispers.
I'd appreciate it,
And they may as well.
Be well.
