Discover how the words you use and hear directly impact your energy field (bioenergetics) in this powerful guided meditation. We often don't realize that words carry a vibrational frequency that can leave us feeling heavy and constricted or light and expansive. In this practice, you will: > - Experience the direct physical sensation of negative vs. positive words. > - Learn to become more sensitive to your own energetic state. > - Gain insight into your 'energy diet' from media and internal dialogue. > - Practice replacing disempowering words with those that uplift and empower you. This powerful meditation starts with a short 6-Point meditation preparation from TMI, body and mind relaxation and then into the energy of words. Enjoy!

Okay.

Get into a nice seated posture and gently close your eyes.

Last week we learned how to label the thoughts and find a little space from them.

However we also learned that when our thoughts are given importance and attachment they can become sticky and can color our consciousness completely.

Today I want to talk about the importance of words,

Thoughts and energy.

It can be tough to understand our thoughts sometimes in terms of energy but knowing why it's important to see them clearly can keep us going.

So let's dive into the world of bioenergy where our ancient wisdom meets modern science.

Everything including us is full of energy.

When we grasp how this energy flows inside us and affects our lives we can start to feel more in control.

It's not just spiritual stuff,

It's about understanding energy,

Our bioenergetics.

Our bodies have a flow of energy that goes up and down looping around us forming a multi-dimensional doughnut.

There's an ideal amount of energy for different tasks and being able to read our current energy state is very powerful.

Now in just a few minutes we'll go through a practice like that to show you what I mean.

When we treat our energy the same way we deal with our thoughts we start to notice things we didn't before.

It's not magic,

It's just paying attention to our own energy.

Words carry energy and information just like symbols do.

We are all on a journey of mindfulness and expanding our awareness which means learning to be in charge of and responsible for what we create.

Remember we are always creating something.

Being aware of that helps you shift your energy when needed.

Sometimes just changing how you say something can make a whole lot of difference.

Being mindful sets you apart from most people alive today.

So with an open heart and mind try to be more present in what you're creating right now.

Becoming more conscious is a big part of the journey to understanding yourself better.

Let's begin the practice by doing a small version of this six-step meditation preparation.

Delving into your motivation.

Why are you here today?

What is your motivation?

Perhaps it's to achieve more peace of mind or improve your mental skills or to achieve awakening.

What goal do you want to set for this practice?

For example I will make an effort to be alert throughout the meditation or something even as simple as I will be kind to all my experiences.

Now let go of any expectations holding your goals in a very light-mannered way.

Now set an intention to be diligent throughout this practice to be true to your motivation and your goals.

You will diligently keep coming back to this practice like this is the only important thing you have going on for you right now.

Take a moment to perform a quick inventory of the things in your life that would come up as distractions such as problem at work or an argument with a friend,

Maybe some health issues,

Future plans or expectations.

Check to see if your mind is occupied by any worries about the future,

Regrets about the past,

Doubts or any other annoyances.

Acknowledge these thoughts and emotions whatever they are and resolve them to set them aside if they arise.

You may not be wholly successful by just setting the intention will make them easier to handle.

Okay now the last step is to get into a noble upright seated posture making sure the head,

Neck and back are aligned.

Gently moving around very slowly until you feel they're all in good alignment.

Relaxing your shoulders and arms,

Relaxing the muscles of the face,

Your forehead,

Your cheeks,

Jaw,

All soft and relaxed.

Lips very gently closed,

Eyes closed softly,

Belly soft,

Legs soft and then bring gentle attention to the body breathing.

Noticing the natural breath.

I invite you now to keep one hand on the belly,

Another on the chest,

Noticing the movement of the belly as the breath comes in and goes out and then taking a few deep belly breaths,

Breathing in for a count of three and out for a count of five.

Do this for a few moments.

Okay now gently letting go of any focus on the breath,

Letting your breath come to a natural pace,

Putting your hands down gently on your thighs or knees,

Feeling into your posture,

Feeling heavy and supported,

Melting into the seat.

Words are powerful,

They can make you feel certain ways.

So let's do a practice to experience this now.

Take a moment and just drop into your current experience.

Notice everything you are able to about what state you are in at this moment.

I'll give you a few moments here to process that.

Okay good.

Now I want you to think about these words and notice how they make you feel.

Have to.

Must.

Stupid.

Resistance.

Can't.

Food.

Fail.

Excessive.

Rejecting.

Denying.

Critical.

Skeptical.

Entrusting.

Judgmental.

Arrogant.

Cynical.

Ugly.

Okay,

I imagine you felt the shift in energy there and if you didn't,

That's alright too.

Just observe where in your body do you notice that shift?

And what does that feel like?

This process is one of becoming more and more sensitive,

More and more in tune to what you're experiencing energetically.

Now before we begin the next group of words,

I'd like you to shake it off.

Literally,

If you can,

Stand up or whilst in a seated position,

Just shake it all off and just let it go.

Use the intention of clearing out all the negative energy.

You may even want to take a couple of deep breaths.

Good.

Now gently sit back down and listen to these words.

Be.

It to.

Learning.

Open.

Wisdom.

Lessons.

Growing.

Can.

Compassion.

Allowing.

Appreciation.

Gratitude.

Safe.

Cherishing.

Surrender.

Gracious.

Love.

Okay,

Once again,

Take a moment and drop in.

What do you sense?

What's going on energetically now?

Can you feel the difference?

Words have meaning and they affect us more than we realize.

Our subconscious mind processes a ton of information every single second,

Something like 25,

000 times more bits of information than our conscious mind.

Knowing this is really important for our mental health.

To pay attention to the words we use regularly.

It also applies to the words and energetics that we are absorbing around us every day.

From the news to the content of the type of movies that we are watching,

The television that we are consuming.

What does all that energetically look like?

If you practice this enough,

You're going to come to a point where you don't resonate with the things that perhaps you used to before.

Things that just seemed innocent.

They might have had violence in them or any kind of negative low vibration.

And when you're feeding that to yourself on a constant basis,

What do you think you're doing to your biofield?

So this is a process of becoming aware,

More and more aware of where we want to put our attention.

And what we want to expose ourselves to energetically.

And it all starts so importantly right here with us.

So as you move forward in life,

Practice paying attention and replace all habitual words with the new ones that empower you when you speak,

Think and act.

I hope you have enjoyed this small but potentially powerful practice.

May we all be free from suffering.

Thank you very much for practicing with me today.
