Welcome to this cool down meditation.
This meditation is created for those moments after your workouts when you want to drop back into the body and calm down and feel centered and grounded and also say thank you to your body for the hard work it's just done.
So if you're ready go ahead and close your eyes.
Take a deep breath all the way down into your belly breathing in through the nose.
Exhale through the mouth just centering yourself here now.
Become aware of your breath the pace of your breath.
It may be a little faster right now after your workout.
So as you take each deep breath imagining that you're breathing in calmness.
You're allowing the breath and the mind to slow down through this practice.
What are you aware of in this moment?
How did that workout serve you?
How are your muscles feeling?
How's your mind feeling?
How's the body feeling?
We're going to explore that deeper as we go inward.
Inward allowing the breath now to flow in and out of your nose.
Letting the in-breath become the out-breath.
The out-breath become the in-breath.
Inviting in this beautiful healing light flowing down through the body now from the top of your head and all the way down to the soles of your feet.
Imagining this healing light calming and relaxing every muscle in the body.
Becoming grounded and centered here.
Just letting the shoulders relax.
The chest.
Entire spine.
Feeling the hands and the arms becoming heavier as you relax.
Feeling that gratitude for everything your body just did for you in this workout.
Just saying to the body,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you.
Letting the legs relax.
The knees.
The ankles.
The toes.
And just notice what felt great about the workout.
And also notice if the workout stirred anything up for you to release now.
And simply just say in your mind,
I really enjoyed it.
I release,
I let it go.
I release,
I let it go.
I release,
I let it go.
Just feeling the body calming down in this cool down.
Bathing in the gratitude that you have for your body and everything that it does for you.
Really acknowledging how this workout served you both physically and mentally.
How are you feeling in this moment?
How did the workout serve you?
Letting the entire nervous system calm and relax.
And just letting the thoughts flow in and out of your mind.
Go ahead and set yourself an intention.
For the rest of your day,
What's your intention?
What has this moment taught you?
Through the workout and the cool down.
That you're taking with you into your day.
Really becoming aware of this beautiful mind-body connection here.
Your mind and body have come home together here.
In alignment.
Grounded.
And centered.
And then when you're ready,
You can go ahead and take a deep breath in.
Sealing this practice.
And gently,
And in your own time,
Come back into the space of your awareness.
And gently,
And in your own time,
Come back into the space you're in and open your eyes.
Thank you for allowing me to guide you today.
