Ceasing worry isn't as easy as telling yourself, "Don't worry." Knowing it may all work out in the end may not be enough to stop the ruminating. If you breathe, take a moment to be present—even if just for the moment—the worry can cease.

Repeating don't worry is easier than not worrying.

Convincing yourself all will be well is a mountain of a challenge to climb.

Being at ease when so much around and inside is not is difficult.

So instead of trying to make it all right,

Sit in this minute.

Breathe and allow yourself a break from it all.

Settle in your seat.

Get comfortable.

Real cozy.

Let your muscles relax and your mind settle.

When you're ready,

Take a deep breath in.

When it feels right,

Release it.

Again,

Follow that breath as it passes your nose and fills your lungs.

As it leaves your lungs and rushes through your nose again,

Continue to breathe at your own pace.

Whatever is comfortable for you.

Breathe in.

Focusing only on the breath.

Staying right here in this moment.

If thoughts come,

Ask them for a minute.

Tell them they can come back later.

Right now,

You're breathing.

If it's comfortable,

Stay here for as long as you need.

Continue your breathing.

Muscles relaxed.

Mind settled.

And when you're ready,

Remind yourself,

You can come back here.

Your breath will be waiting on you.
