A short track for easy access to a guided moment of bringing a sense of hope back in when things feel hopeless - whether that is due to personal, work, or global issues - using evidence-based strategies to shift something in you. Sometimes this may help you access a significant shift; other times it may just be a little, allowing you to keep on going. When we shift things by a little, on a regular and frequent basis, this ripples out and gradually has a significant effect. If you are experiencing a sense of hopelessness as a consistent feeling, please reach out to a loved one and/or a professional for help.

We live in an incredibly challenging world.

It is full of beauty,

But sometimes we do get overwhelmed by all the things that we wish were better,

That we wish were healed,

And that can lead us into a space of feeling hopeless about it all.

So this is an invitation for you to come back to yourself and to ground.

So find a position that allows you grace and as much ease as possible.

Taking a breath in and breathe out.

When we breathe in,

We can bring a hormone balance that can support us in proactivity and in hope.

So I invite you to plant those parts of your body that are holding you on the floor,

On the furniture,

And from there,

As you breathe in,

Allow yourself,

Your body,

To get a sense of rising up and engage your muscles.

Because when we engage our muscles,

We release something called irisin,

Which is also called the molecule of hope.

So by engaging our body,

We're bringing that sense of empowerment into our whole being,

Even if it's just a whisper for you in this moment.

And if you like a visual as you're breathing in and out,

I invite you also to imagine that by breathing in,

You're supporting the sun in just breaking over the horizon,

Bringing light and life.

Breathing out enables that to be a gentle invitation.

Again,

Breathing in,

Inviting a bit more light to spread.

And taking moments like this is something free and simple that you can control.

It is within your space of agency.

It's not always easy bringing hope,

But it is possible.

And regular practice like this builds self-efficacy,

Your autonomy and self-empowerment,

So that you can create space for hope to rise in you.
